Fiercely independent and here to celebrate the best live and electronic acts, Westival returns for its eighth edition, expanding its offering with wellness spaces, workshops, and activities to complement the music, which will be spread across five stages.

Not A Cult

Self-described as “joyful and weird AF”, Not A Cult brings four stages of genuinely underground music, including live, dance, folk, and electronic, plus workshops, interactive performances, their WellNest area, and more. Kids and families are welcome to join them and get a little weird this fest season. Not-for-profit and driven by volunteers and its community, it’s all about dead good vibes at Not A Cult, easily one of the best UK festivals in July.

One of the staple July festivals in the north, Craic by the Creek celebrates traditional and contemporary Irish music in the Greater Manchester countryside. Relatively new to the scene but already making a mark, Radar, winner of Best New Festival 2022 at the UK Festival Awards, combines progressive heavy music and gaming. There are two stages at this indoor festival, plus a music and gaming market and masterclasses run by musicians. And the best bit? The festival is programmed to have exactly zero set clashes.
