Fresh from an inspired change of venue, moving to the impressive potential of Donington Park, Zoo now arms itself with even more additions to its intelligent line up.

Some of the previously announced major players at this year's festival include the likes of Chicago house legends Mark Farina, DJ Sneak and Derrick Carter, man of the moment Joy Orbison, Swamp 81’s acid powerhouse Boddika, Aus label favourite Midland, recent chart crossover hero Breach, and off kilter melodic pioneer Throwing Snow to name just a few.

The new arrivals at Zoo Project are perfectly in fitting with their fiercely underground booking philosophy, selecting only the most cutting edge artists for the much loved event. Giles Smith is first up.

Giles Smith Live @ Panorama Bar

Having been an avid collector of vinyl since the age of 15, the now highly regarded exponent of deep house and techno shot to notoriety by being involved with the creation of the legendary Secretsundaze, being named 'Best New DJ' in 2003 by Time Out, and later on through producing under the Two Armadillos moniker. His sets are a veritable master class, combining so many different styles into one cohesive whole, regularly unearthing gems whilst remaining seriously cutting edge with apparent ease.

He’ll be joined by October. the Bristolian DJ and producer has cemented himself through his intelligent productions, appearing on labels such as Skudge and Applepips, and his sets tour the darker edges of underground house and techno, resulting in a hypnotically moving experience.

Other highlights include the fantastic Samuel Deep, Toyboy & Robin and Manchester based Werkha.

The organizers clearly know a thing or two about real forward thinking underground dance music, as they have managed to snare some of the biggest names and most well thought out bookings we’ve seen for a dance music festival so far this year.
