Review of Crafty Vintage : Family Festival : Spring Bank Holiday
This is the first time I have been asked to pay extra for entertainment at a Crafty Vintage event ! I don't mind the £3 admission charge. The location was great although £4 each to explore the gardens was also a bit much, only took 10 minutes and no where to sit (Covid rules notwithstanding) Needs more stalls if at all possible.

The venue was good. Security and parking staff were excellent. Greeting customers with a smile being called sir/madam was really nice.
We had gone to the craft fair with the intention of having our own stall. The traders were really nice, stalls set out under cover or indoors all ready to sell there goods. The problem was the footfall of customers was not enough with many customers not covering there costs. They all said the same for the day before commenting by 2 pm the place will be dead. The music festival was practicing and you could not hear each other speak. So by the time you have paid rent, fuel
cost of goods etc you would be better off selling on FB OR EBAY. plus a lot of items for sale where not crafted just everyday shop bought items at treble the price...... shame, I think Craft fairs are fazing out of fashion in a lot of places up north.

Review of Manfords Comedy Club : Crafty Vintage : Spring Bank
The weather set us up for a great day-sat in deckchairs in glorious sunshine. The compère was brilliant and really set the tone of the afternoon. MC Hammersmith was superb and so different. As was Ignacio Lopez (or Enrique Iglesias!)-with his Spanish views of the British. Loved it!

I booked this event online for 2 adults and 5 children ranging from 2-15 years of age. The venue was stunning however, we were really disappointed with the lack of facilities available for children. We also bought food which was expensive, long queues and no options for children!
I would definitely visit Houghton Tower but but I wouldn’t pay to go to an event again.

Great venue, very well laid out with clear social distance measures in place. The tickets where reasonably priced and the entertainment drink & food was first class. Highly recommended ?

Nice friendly venue, lovely people, well organised, not ideal for disabled, but I managed in my electric wheelchair. The food on offer was pricey, but generally a good afternoon out x

We paid £383 for a cabana which was a complete and utter rip off and we would not recommend it at all!!! The premium champagne was from Aldi. We got 6 cans of Carling and a few sausage roll, pastries and dipped strawberries.
The cabana was basically a flimsy gazebo cover (we could have bought our own for a fraction of what it cost to hire) with some deck chairs and a bale of hay!!! Disgraceful. No wonder the event was so badly supported. We should have been offered a refund.
We expected far better from Hoghton Tower.

I have been going to crafty vintage events for many years, I used to have a great time, good music, children's entertainment, a place for like minded people to dress up have a chat, there used be an amazing atmosphere, but that's gone, ð??? now it's all about making money, putting acts on that many of us can't afford, and with the barrier's up, sheet's across trees to stop people seeing!! it's completely lost the lovely atmosphere it used to have!! ð???

Venue not suitable for visitors with poor mobility due to the very stoney ground. Prices far too expensive. Visitors should be allowed to drink/eat their own food rather than pay for drinks etc from limited stalls , especially as it was so hot.
