First thing it stated ticket only,I booked online,with booking fees added,when I got there the lady at entrance said you could pay at at entrance,??? So I paid more for nothing,there website said limited tickets left,this was misleading as there were not that many there,I am interested in collectibles where was the stalls advertised as being there,I saw ONE,with overpriced few items,most of the stalls sold overpriced items,and food,there was little for children to do ! Suppose to be a family day out ??? Basically a market you had to pay to walk round,you also had to pay extra to visit the gardens......very very poor value.

ticket prices a bit of a rip off just to see a handful of market stalls, there are numerous events extremely similar around the north west that donâ??t require paid-tickets

I've been to the Christmas markets at Hoghton tower as few times and never paid to get in, so I was expecting something a bit extra for my ticket money (considering I had to pay for my 2 year old as well). I don't really understand why we had to shell out for the opportunity to just spend more money. There were very few stalls, the first one I went to charged me £15 for a bag of sweets (my fault for actually paying it) and a few others tried a hard sell as we passed. A five minute wander later we were at the end of it all. The plan was to buy some food and sit on the grass but there were only two stalls (a burger van and a pizza van) and the queues were too long. You can't get near Hoghton Tower itself (security guards to turn people away). So we left. A disappointing and expensive way to spend a bank holiday.

I think you should have charged everyone 8 pound per ticket I think 20 was expensive for the show I think it would have been better if it was an average £8 I think you would have has more people watch the concert great venue fab stalls I bought loads of vintage clothes good luck

Great event and the weather was amazing too on the day. Stunning venue at Hoghton Towers, a great variety of artisan craft and food stalls. The music and show were fantastic and the whole place had a real fun, festival vibe. The tickets were great value, we can't wait for the next one.
