Review of A New Day Festival 2017
The venue and its restricted size is absolutely what makes this festival for me ( a day visitor, so can't comment on the camping). The range of beers and ciders was impressive, although inevitably they were running out of some by Sunday afternoon, food concessions were OK, thai noodle stand distinctly average.

Review of A New Day Festival 2017
Fabulous weather always helps but the ablutions, food choice, beer prices and adequate camping space puts it above other festivals I have attended in the past. Good range of music, not always to my taste but only one objectionable act in the whole three days. I love that the music alternates between stages and you don't have to listen to sound checks or miss anyone playing. NMA are my favourite band and were excellent. I found that I knew more Slade, focus, Lindisfarne and Big Country than I thought! Martin Barre was fantastic, X wishbone ash and gryphon were both ones I will definitely listen to more of. Chatted to some lovely people, completely relaxed and had a great time!

Review of A New Day Festival 2017
Signposting on arrival wasn't up to much. Found my way more by luck than by following signage. Ditto getting away late on Sat night. Having gone round in a circle for about 4 miles I found myself passing the same pub twice. Got clear directions from a local and was on the M2 in minutes.
Venue was absolutely gorgeous. So nice, I felt bad about being part of such a big crowd in what felt like a private, albeit huge, garden. Great organisation with good stewarding, reasonable choice of stalls and , of course, we were lucky with the weather. Of the bands I was particularly keen on seeing; Edgar Broughton was a huge disappointment, Soft machine did a brilliant first half then tailed off towards the end I felt, Martin Turner was absolutely superb, Barclay James Harvest were very good although none of my personal favourites got an airing, Lindisfarne were awesomely good and Uriah Heep were loud- boy were they loud. Even Jackie Lynton, who, every place I've seen him seems to be on an early slot when there are kids everywhere and whose gratuitous bad language has me looking for an alternative stage, had more of the r&b band leader about him and less of the Chubby Brown.
All in all a great event. Well done.

Review of A New Day Festival 2017
Visited Sunday. Great venue, use of two stages alternately made for loads of music with next to no down time. Catering facilities not expensive and beer was ideally priced. Heard a rumour that New Day Festival is looking to re-locate next year do to access to site. Don't do it!!! They may be country lanes leading to the site, and a small walk from the car park to the stage area but this is no reason to abandon what to me was a brilliant setting. (Don't people have to walk at other festivals?)

We had a great time again - however although not a problem for us but the change from being allowed to drive onto the camping field to drop off camping equip etc was causing lots of difficulties for older participants and those with limited mobility. Lovely to see more families enjoying the festival and the addition of lots of toilet facilities was a great improvement. More food outlets on the camping field would I feel allow for more reasonably priced tea, coffee, bacon rolls etc - more competition would allow for more competitive pricing as the resident one this year was very expensive. Oh and if you book the Feelgoods again please could they have a much longer set :)

Review of A New Day Festival 2017
I thought this years festival was at the top end of excellent. The setting is brilliant and the stewards, security guys etc were really friendly. The music range was spot on for a festival that attracts such a wide age range of people. The camping facilities were good and the toilets were generally OK although it always amazes me what people actually do in those portaloos....nappies really don't fit. I think a special mention must go to those lads that came and cleared those out. Event they were cheerful! Perhaps it was the weather...same again next year please. All the bands were fab especially (for me) Focus, Soft Machine and New Model Army. NMA are even more intense that I remembered!

Review of A New Day Festival 2017
Best three days of the year for me. Tears of joy at seeing some bands not seen since 1970. I the intervening years they have become tighter, heavier and even better that I first remember.

Review of A New Day Festival 2017
Good views of bands on the hill and easy to get from one stage to the other. Also great range of food outlets and beer at sensible prices. overall a great family event all forward to event in 2018.
Only negative was the toilets on the Saturday especially the ladies. The portable was closed for a while and the ladies in the brick building was also closed so many of us were using the mens but overall really enjoyable experience

Review of A New Day Festival 2017
Absolutely brilliant, the weather of course played a major factor. Access, retail prices and staff were were good. Loved the morning "Uke" workshop. The whole area was beautiful and well set up. We were on the camper van site which was reasonable, but the Cricket camp site looked amazing. Great stages with the low frontage and no awful pit area. brilliant idea alternating stages for each act. I am still on a high from it this morning, fantasticcccccccccccc. Only one criticism, although the crowd appeared to enjoy them please don't go down the route of featuring "pop" bands like Slade it just spoils the contemporary feel.. Well done it was a memorable weekend, see you next year.

Went last year too and this year's wasn't as good as the bands on were mostly playing old stuff with no new material. I realize it is nice to hear old stuff but I felt sad that they were no longer writing or didnt feel able to perform new stuff at this event. Last years had a lot more up and coming bands and I feltthe AND title suited festival. The years should have been called AOD.

Had day tickets for Saturday so can't comment on camping; we had a fantastic time. Everything was well organised including the parking, security, toilets and layout. Beautiful venue, great music, wide choice of food and drink - what's not to like? Will definitely come again next year.
