Beautiful setting and friendly, well run music festival. Biggest gripe was not being able to park closer to campsite at least for drop off of gear. Numbers and location of toilets and showers for camping needs improving too. That aside the campsite was really lovely.
Great choice of food (esp vegan) and drink and reasonably priced. The view from the straw bales in front of the beer tent cannot possibly be bettered at any festival!
Music line up was great for nostalgia..but I did think maybe too many prog and not enough quality blues. Suggest you check out bands like Wille and the Bandits next year.

First time at the festival even though only live a 'stone's throw' away. Great to see some real legends plus some of the less well known but still excellent bands. Only went on the Saturday because of other commitments but will consider doing more days next year! Very well organised and everything was sensibly priced.

It's a sublime setting for a festival and the atmosphere and camaraderie are second to none. Some of the acts were fab, some not so great.
Unfortunately the curfew that was supposed to be adhered to wasn't by several neig*bours, which ruined it for us. We were kept awake until 4 a.m. on the first night and 3a.m. on the last. They had music playing, were shouting,swearing,laughing,knocking bottles over and having no regard for anyone else. They kept all the surrounding tents awake. As a result we felt rotten in the day and enjoyed it all less. Spoke to the stewards but it made no difference.
I'm really disappointed and cross. Don't bother making rules if they're not going to be kept. I'd like to recommend it for all the other things you ask for a rating, but I can't because it was ruined by foul-mouthed inconsiderate people.

Great weekend, weather lovely in beautiful surroundings...
Bands good but I thought stronger last year with the Blockheads and Wilko....
Sunday the weaker day for me, but livened up nicely with Slade...
Uriah Heep strong performance but most enjoyable band for me was The Fierce and the Dead... really good show and new to me....
Nice to see Jackie Lyndon again always puts a smile on your face...😁
Big Country rightful headline on Friday night... nice dance around the gardens......
Need to put the beer menu up on the entrance so a little clearer...
Top well organised weekend. Well done New Day team.... see you next year.....

I really enjoyed the weekend, it was well organised and I found everybody to be friendly. My two criticisms of the event were, firstly the signposting to the event, I felt was not brilliant. As a person who was driving over 200 miles, i would have liked more signposting around the venue, and also more sings in the event area for toilets, showers etc.
I did not realise about the one pound cash back on the beer glasses, as i threw mine away without knowing on Friday night. So better information on this would have helped.
Another problem I felt was only one shower section for the camp site, I did not bother and used wet wipes, but certainly if this festival is going to be the bees knees, then we need more of these facilities.
But everything else was perfect including the weather and surroundings.

The music was excellent especially Jackie McAuley whom I hadn' t even even heard of - shame on me. The other stand out class act was IO Earth . Again, I hadn'the heard of this band, and thought the music would be too heavy for my taste but it was brilliant. Lindisfarne was also great but I expected that. Unfortunately the light show with this act made me leave the area before the band had finished playing. I don' t suffer from epilepsy but the unexpected flashing seemed to be directed right into the audience's eyes and there was no escape from the assault. It was good that there was such a mix of music, with Gryphon, Home Service, Edgar Broughton and Kindred Spirit varying the list beautifully. Dr Feelgood, Jackie Lynton and Del were good solid bands which got everyone going and which were not only bluesy but also played and sung proper songs properly. Apart from this the organisation was sound (the GURKHA security was of course exemplary, and these and all the stewards polite and friendly) although perhaps a little short on information. As a lone female camping I felt really safe. Maybe the toilets could do with some extra attention throughout the day though. They were fine at first. Just one more accolade - the chap, covered in tattoos who drove the vehicle with trailer from the main entrance to the camp site with our baggage - he worked tirelessly and was so well mannered and obliging, nothing was too much trouble for him - he deserves recognition please let him know he was a credit to the festival, and contributed to the happiness and the good atmosphere. Many thanks for a great festival hope to be there again next year.

Just went for the Saturday as lineup looked best on this day, acts got better as the day wore on as you'd expect and Uriah Heep were exceptional. This really is a bit of a gem, weather was excellent and the setting second to none, a natural venue for viewing the acts on stage due to the slopes and beauty of the gardens with plenty of shade etc.
Keep an eye on the toilets , they started to deteriorate later in the day.

A most enjoyable weekend! Lots of the desired improvements needed from last year were implemented. Especially, the lit walkways. Well done. The stewards were wonderfully welcoming as always. This is a friendly festival. The line ups were excellent on each day.....even Del Bromham has finally found a lineup that works! This is one happy festival goer!

Second time at the festival, many thanks to everyone who made the event a success. Very enjoyable weekend with glorious sunshine, good music and brilliant venue. Toilets not great, but an improvement from last year. Last year some campers would not adhere to rules and guidance regarding vehicle use, this lead to a ban on vehicles at the camp site. This year a small number of dog owners were unwilling to pick up their dogs poo, hopefully this wont lead to a ban on dogs. Its unfortunate that a small minority continue to impact on the enjoyment of many.

Best festival site I've ever been to - absolutely stunning! The organisation was flawless and the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. The Ghurkas doing the security were also the friendliest security team I've come across at a festival. Although there was not a huge variations in musical styles, there was enough to keep an older rocker, a folkie and a 16 year old happy. Thanks should go out to the local community for not running to the council or the Daily Mail when a festival was suggested in their beautiful part of Kent.

Great site and really slick organisation- not just in keeping the musicians to time and the music flowing, but ensuring facilities clean etc. Mind you it was a very nice crowd- not exactly the rowdy sort!!
