Z-arts was formed in 2000 as a ‘creative space for young people’ with a priority on providing participatory activity. Creative learning is still at the core of everything we do, both inside and outside the building. We work with schools and communities all over Greater Manchester, spanning the whole curriculum. We strive to be forward thinking in all our projects, making them as relevant, accessible, educational and of course, fun as everyone who takes part in them deserves. As Manchester’s venue for children and families we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming, vibrant and safe environment for the whole family to enjoy. Our mission is to inspire and enable generations of young people from Manchester and beyond to use creativity to maximise their potential. We believe everyone can enjoy creativity, so whatever your age, background or interest, we hope you’ll be able to find something to suit you, whether you’re looking for something for your children to do or you want to take part and get creative yourself. Z-arts creates an artistic hub in our large building with twelve public rooms including a 230 seat theatre, gallery, fully equipped dance studio, music studio, café, rehearsal and workshop rooms.
