Review of Eastbourne Reggae Carnival

To start with, we arrived at 3pm and the venue had already run out of white wine and there was a very poor choice of beers and all at £6 a can.
There was not one seat to be found anywhere and by 7pm my wife and I were in great need of sitting down as we are both arthritis sufferers.
We left the venue to go to the pub next door for a rest and some wine as the security people said we could come back in but that was not the case when we returned. My wife was greeted with 14 members of security who were adamant that there was no re entry and very unnecessary just to escort one lady out of the building.
We also heard that the bar ran out of beer at 9pm.
Overall not a good.

We really enjoyed it up until Janet kay had finished then all that heavy like garage music came on we actually thought David radigan would of played more of the older music not just 4 tracks so that was disappointing we actually thought more trojan would of been played to be honest I know you have to cater for everyone but after aswad played it went down hill for us so we left and went home

Had a good time but drink prices were way too expensive and the music quality wasn’t great as too bassy so couldn’t always hear the singing.

Had a great day , shame about lack of seating as not all youngsters . Outside we sat on concrete ground. No seating outside. Where food vans were . Only a few inside. Great music.

When is it acceptable to take items from peoples bags, such as expensive perfumes and say they would not be given back. Where in the t&cs does it say that? I could understand no food and drink as these are available at the venue. Further no chairs available at all. Cheap, unprofessional organisers, will not be going back.

Great night. Good atmosphere.
Slightly marred by the excessive greedy prices at the bar!! And there was no rum punch!
Would definitely do it again though
