Review of Eastbourne Reggae Carnival
Great atmosphere, helpfull friendly staff, plenty of security and medical staff.
The atmosphere was fabulous throughout the day and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. There was all types of reggae so that everyone from young to old was able to join in. Very well organised and it all flowed very well. I would definately attend if there was another one.
The only complaints I would have is more chairs in the corner bar area for people who were unable to stand for long periods of time, better stocked bar as there was no non alcoholic beer and the wine ran out very early on so we had to drink lemonade all night. Also no bottled water available even though we were not allowed to take water in, very bad for a festival, you need water in a hot atmosphere when you are dancing a lot so that you can rehydrate!!! Last thing would be the food. Carribean is fine but if you cannot eat spicy food there was no other hot food so we had to settle for a bag of crisps and a flapjack all day with lemonade to drink. Just a few observations for next time. Thank you for a wonderful and very enjoyable day

Only one food stall which ran out of vegetarian option after 1 hour and it was 2PM till 11pm with no re-entry so couldn't buy food anywhere else, no seating at all so had to sit on concrete floor outside, portaloos ran out of toilet roll by 5PM so all very poor for the customer!

Review of Eastbourne Reggae Carnival
Our first attendance of a music festival at Eastbourne Winter Gardens . It was a lovely day. The weather was good, the atmosphere happy and relaxed . All the staff we came across were polite, friendly , and informative . The sound system was clear , and just the right level . We enjoyed most of the artistes that performed . Big thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make it such a memorable day !

Review of Eastbourne Reggae Carnival
The Winter Gardens was a brand new venue to me, fabulous place, hope to go back one day.
I didn't speak to many staff, but the ones I did were excellent. Well done!
There was an issue with the water for hand washing in the toilets, being none; that was resolved later.
The event was actually better than I expected. We booked especially for Aswad and Janet Kay. Absolutely loved the other performers, especially General Levy - who I wasn't expecting ever to see live, what a treat. David Rodigan was super!
Food queues, a bit long, one place ran out of my favourite; we got some eventually though.
All in all, great experience.

Review of Eastbourne Reggae Carnival
It was not clear in the booking information that this would be an indoor event . When booking I had understood that it was to be an outdoor event so the fact that it was indoors was disappointing. Also for the audience attending there was no seating available and this meant that standing and dancing for 9 hours was impossible so we could not fully enjoy the acts as we would have been able to had there been seating available, or it had been outdoors as anticipated and we could have sat on the ground. Also the drinks were over priced and the prices displayed were misleading. It said drinks were served as doubles as standard but only the single price was displayed of £6. . To then be charged £8 for the drink was misleading and a misrepresentation. £8 for a rum and c**e was extortionate . Also there was no water available. I had to empty my water bottle on entry only to find I could not get any water in the venue which was a health and safety hazard. Given the number of elderly people attending more provision should have been made to make people comfortable and safe. Particularly as we are still in a pandemic.

Review of 90s Baby Eastbourne
The music was fantastic, however the ridiculously overpriced drinks at the bar resulted in us leaving early. A member of the security team screaming into the ladies toilets ‘less chatting and more peeing and wiping’ was frankly unnecessary and vile.

DJ's could have stayed on a little longer or actually played music throughout the event......Was a little pricey taking into consideration how the event was organised. Did thoroughly enjoy ourselves

2pm till 11pm, nowhere to sit at all.
Buy food but can't sit and eat.
Ridiculous prices on limited drinks selection, 440ml can of red stripe £6.
£8 for a short and mixer.
No rentry policy.
How do you expect people to stand for all that time.
Wont be recommending
