Review of Ultra Con 2016

After seeing the queue to get in for 10am, i waited in line and was annoyed with having to wait half an hour whilst other people were jsut crossing the road and joining the queue straight away at the front. This left quite alot of people annoyed. Not sure i would buy tickets in advance anymore after that, i would probably just drive by and see what it would be like later on in the day. Doesnt seem worthwhile getting there early.

you should have more room for the stall holders in the middle and the cars and that why dont you hire a big tent and put them out side alos the you can get more stall holders in the event

The event was fantastic, free parking just over the road and friendly staff hosting the event. The event was so big though with hundreds of visitors it was hard to get around some of the stalls, so could have done to be a larger venue, but still it was a great day out for all the family. Would definitely go again!

Queue was ridiculous at 10am even with early bird tickets. Too cramped where stalls were and we couldn't get to see many items. Food was priced stupidly high also. 1.60 for a 600ml bottle of Pepsi when you can get a litre of Pepsi in a supermarket. I would still recomend as I see a lot of friends there.

To big of an event crammed into such a small place with to many people let in. Caused pushing , people moaning and shouting at others. Just not enough room to get by. Paid for cruiser experience and didn't even get on it as they said they didn't anticipate would take so long . Very poor planning and I wasted money that I doubt will get back

It was ok but like the last even held here nothing had changed. The only change this year was fast and furious cars and two more Star Trek/wars things, otherwise everything else was the same.
(The stage set up and mass of people really needs to be looked at as you can't move as well as the set out of the stalls

Glad they reverted back to this venue. Parking was great. I already had my ticket and had to queue for nearly an hour to get in the venue. Once inside it was cramped in places. Vehicles were good. Not many actors/actresses to see (there were quite a few in 2014 e.g. Dr Who, Star Wars, when previously at this event). Overall disappointed this year.

Omg!!! It was amazing. All my boys loved it. We spent 6hrs there n only just saw everything. So much to do. Loved it :)

I'll start with the bad...
Getting in was a joke, when you know how many tickets have been sold you should have a clear idea of how many people are going to be turning up, the venue did not appear to be prepared at all for this as 'fast track' tickets were anything but, the only saving grace here was the weather - had the weather been bad -it doesn't bare thinking about...
Placing the trade stands immediately beyond the entrance... what a bottle neck! There was no alternative route to take to bypass this, the situation was made worse by the stands being too close together...
On the whole the venue did not seem big enough for this event.
The good...
The displays were great! Some fantastic sets and props on display and the best display of vehicles I have seen, it's just a shame there was not more room around the indoor displays.

Fantastic event, love all the photo props and the millennium falcon is amazing shame the queue was too big to get a photo in it but superb for those who did. the stage show was amazing and all the movie vehicles on show. Fantastic costumes by all the cos-players who turned up and did i mention the millennium falcon was there. Just brilliant cant wait for next year.

Great day out. Only niggle the shops caused a backup of people at the beginning and wheelchairs had a real problem getting through.

What a spectacular event. Something for everyone and well managed. All crew actors etc was very helpful and was no problem posing gor selfies with my little girl

First time I have been to this event. I thought the ques could have been better organised as some people didn't know if they were in the ticker que or pay on the door! I think the venue it's self was to small for the amount of people visiting to be honest. You couldn't move at one point which surely is a fire risk. I would recommend it to a certain point but don't think we will return unless it's at a bigger venue.

Really good day out, a little small on attractions but what was there was really good.
Fulfilled a bucket list tick by sitting in the original Batmobile.
Well worth the two and half hour drive to get there.
