the event was cancelled and nobody told us. my dad is disabled and isn't easily able to travel, we were turned away from the venue and sent home, missing the game (probably for the best, mind)

Review of Ultra Con 2016

Me and my 6 year old son were really excited to be going to Ultra con this  year as its the first time we have been to anything like it, we got there at 9.20 am as we knew it might be very busy with people waiting to get in to the venue. There was an amazing array of people dressed up which the time and effort they made was out of this world, they all looked really great, my son wanted picture after picture with all of the guys dressed up, I have to say when we got to near the front of the queue it was just crazy, people queuing all over the place no definitive order or anything, when we actually got into the place it was great lots of room for people to walk round, we had a walk all around the place to see what was going on then a wonder to the food court to plan lunch and the rest of our day, the prices and layout of the food court was just out outrageous, far too expensive but we both needed a drink so had to sort that out, I cannot understand why the places like this do not lower prices and they would sell more, I heard alot of people saying this too £4.70 for a sandwich is disgusting and i was not willing to pay it, when we walked round the second time more and more and more people were there, it was just bedlam, you could not walk round, you shuffled round, it was like we were packed in there like sardines! We left at 1.30 pm as we could not stand it any longer, it was a ticketed  event and in my opinion too many tickets were sold, we left hungry and disappointed that it was too crammed to see anything   and felt as though we would pass out as it was so hot with all the people. I am glad we went in one way as we can say we saw the event but we will not be returning again as it its just too crazy and crammed. 

Good event, only two complaints
1. Slow getting in, we queued for about 40 mins with our e-tickets from 10am - More event staff needed to get people in ?
2. "The Stig" - What were the organisers thinking in getting 'The Stig' on stage ? He has absolutely no place at UltraCon, if people want to geek out for him they need to go to a Top Gear event not UltraCon

really enjoyed it  and kids loved it I will be  bringing them again  thankyou 

We had a lovely family day! It was out little ones first Comicon (2 years old) and won't be his last! Everyone was so friendly. A MASSIVE thanks to everyone who made a fuss of our little one. He loved it which made it a lot easier for mummy and daddy to enjoy there day! Venue was well set up, there were lots off different attractions and the stalls were all very helpful. The food court could have done with someone directing traffic, but other than that was an awesome day! Can't waiting till next years! 

A fantastic event so much to see and experience loved every minute can't wait for next one.
