Review of Oktoberfest Comes to Chester!
This event was an absolute farce . 1pm start que for an hour and a half didnt even get a drink . Many people not happy and walking out. Went to complain to demand full refund from the events organiser called Paul. He provided his mobile number of 07435900300 and asked to call him to arrange refund of 4 tickets cost of £44. Attempted to call numerous times hes failed to answer also messaged on what's app but he has disappeared. I would like you to follow the process if refund please or I will never be using skiddle again. You should not allow these type of people to trade if they are going to rip people off.

When you order an Oktoberfest off Wish:
When this event was conceived, or to use the correct term “shat”,it must have been during a drunken Friday lunch hour.
This event was SO bad I have created a Skiddle account purely to review it. The only thing even remotely German about this event was the name.
Huge 30-45min queues for a bar that had only four beer pumps; 3 Carling and 1 Coors. Those two well-known German favourites. Weirdly, there were still pumps for cider at this BEER “Festival”.
The entertainment, and I use the term in the loosest possible sense, was a fat, northern (Hull, not Berlin) Poundland Les Dawson along with a sign-holding girl, a bloke on a trumpet and one on a tuba. Occasional shouts of “OOMPAH OOMPAH” (followed by a muted, weary “stick it up your jumper”) was as exciting as anything got.
The only thing remotely German about this “event” was that the sheer joy I felt upon leaving the venue must be similar to that of escaping a WW2 concentration camp but with the added insult that I’d actually paid to be there.

Review of Oktoberfest Comes to Chester!
The decorations were poor, there was some bunting and flags. The music was piped in the background. There was no German beer left at the later session as it was all sold the session before. The queue for the bar was ridiculous. Waste of my time and money

Review of Oktoberfest Comes to Chester!
Two major issues and one smaller issue
1. Waited in queue for one hour and ten minutes for first drink
2. Did not go back for a second as the beer offering was appalling. You would not expect Carling to be the main lager offering at a German beer festival
3. A lot of the blokes did not stay and all cited the lack of a decent beer offering. Would have waited even longer for my first drink only a lot of people did not stay once they realised that Carling was the beer on offer. By 3pm all the tables around us had emptied. I think the final straw was when they started selling bingo cards!!!

Review of Oktoberfest Comes to Chester!
Terrible. Just Mecca Bingo with a few German flags, plastic steins of Carling, Aldi hotdogs, a foul mouthed “comedian”…and bingo! Oh and an hours queue for a drink. This is not Octoberfest!

Review of Oktoberfest Comes to Chester!
This was nothing like Oktoberfest. There were 1 hour queues for Coors or Carling. No German beer, no authentic German servers. The food was awful, not authentic German bratwurst, just plain hotdogs. People were leaving in their droves. Terrible atmosphere, terrible planning. Whole thing was an insulting rip off. How do I get a refund?

Review of Oktoberfest Comes to Chester!
On the whole very poor. Only one bar which had over an hours queue to begin with serving Steins of either Carling or Coors, not exactly the German experience we hoped for. Food was poor, hotdogs and burgers out of a tin on a rock hard bun, nothing German/Oktoberfest related. The only thing close to German was bottles of Erdinger which ran out after the first two hours. No table service. The host & three performers with him were the only saving grace of the event; they were awesome to be fair & had us all laughing. We had fun amongst ourselves but wouldn’t recommend this event to anyone wanting an Oktoberfest experience.

Review of Oktoberfest Comes to Chester!
Only thing I would change about this event is if the organisers made more effort in making it abit more oktoberfest and German themed such as, German beers, German live music and made a much better effort with the German food along with more effort in the ways of decorations other than that. Other than given a blue band to stand in a hour long queue in a dingy hall for a stein of Germanys finest Coors what can I say went wrong.

No German Beer. Queued for an hour to get a stein of Carling.
Band was the only good thing about the hour and a half we stayed there for.
