Already got your SXSW festival pass swinging from your neck? We're incredibly envious of those who have too, but there's still plenty to gather from the annual music conference for all of you music heads.

The Texan free-for-all in Austin is the biggest new music conference in the world and brings together a plethora of emerging acts to set the trend for the remainder of the year.

In order to keep you informed about the some of the iron hot acts pitching up at the event, we collected heads to fish out five unmissable artists who'll be dominating your playlists sooner rather than later.

Anderson .Paak

It's been a long time coming for Californian rapper Anderson .Paak to take the spotlight. He was staple on his native LA scene, until Dr Dre's Compton album shot the multi-instrumentalist to notoriety.

He followed up that initial introduction with one of the most sonically diverse rap albums in recent times - Malibu.

Dua Lipa

You will have undoubtedly heard her flexing her vocal chords across the radio waves via chart hit 'Be The One'. She posseses all the assets to become Britain's next chart revelation, and we're clear in the knowledge that her infectious pop and soulful operatic will send SXSW revellers weak at the knees.

Oscar

Oscar first blew the socks of the blogosphere with his super melodic bedroom rock productions. The avante-garde British star continues to do that on a bigger scale with latest fizzing track 'Sometimes' (listen above) - and we couldn't be more excited about an artist you can never quite put your finger upon.

HINDS

Madrid four-some Hinds prove music doesn't have to complicated as long as everyone's having a belting time. They string ramshackle indie pop that'll make you want to crack open a tinny and dance in the Texan sun - well, if you're lucky enough to be there of course.

Pumarosa

Last year Pumarosa dropped one of the most impressionable calling cards for a band that most were blissfully unaware of. 'Priestess' soon etched itself into the playlists of every major institution, a seven minute yearning of supernova grooves that was seized for the remix by Shura.
