Review of Northern Grip 2019
I was expecting things out on the trails like brass bands and some random lunacy as I had heard about the previous one. This didn't happen. It was unclear about routes. It was a very small festival. I was expecting some bike stalls. There was one only I think.

Not really a festival more of a gathering of people. Not sure why tickets were being sold to get in. A few stands to buy merchandise and a few stands to buy some expensive food. Small disco in the corner that would be in any pub. Event was empty by 7pm. Only good thing was the biking and that was free.

I really enjoyed the event, but in the same way I would enjoy being out on my bike in the sunshine, so it's sometimes difficult to see what I got for my money by being at NG. I think maybe have cheaper ticket prices, then charge supplements for things there - maybe a few quid for the gpx's of the rides, a couple of quid for a bike demo, a couple of quid for a childs wristband for access to the child events, maybe charge a small uplift on food a drink (which is very reasonably priced atm). I'd still spend the same, but there might be more people at the event and a better atmosphere as such.

A great family friendly weekend. Lovely venue and a friendly welcome from everyone.
Great experience for families with children of all ages-bikes &trikes to try out for free.
Circus skills &a lovely play area in the next field.&lots of grassy space to run around on!!
They even got the perfect weather!!
Will be back with my bike next year.

Take away mountain biking which I love and you still have a festival which was fantastic. I met a few friends there that I didn't think would be going because they aren't really into mtb, so just goes to show that a local festival still draws in the people.
Really glad that this event takes place each year and everytime getting bigger and reaching more people
Keep up the good work folks

Festival Hub and main area were good but was unsure about the security of camping in a public park but there were no issues I know of so if you use common sense and look after your Kit I guess all should be fine.
