I think the advertisement gave a different impression of what people expected..drop the disco and put rave /club .also the bar was dreadful and staff over charging we had the same problem every time we ordered a drink.giving doubles which we didn't ask for and trying to charge us. Even security sad it was very badly organised

This was not a good event. Billed as a gin and disco, the gin was a standard bar - nothing special. The sound quality of te music was so poor, we had to leave as the bass was distorted, causing pain in our ears. Very disppointed st the whole experience.

This event was advertised as a ‘disco’. It was house music, for young people not for older people. Had we realised that we wouldn’t have gone. We arrived half an hour after it opened. There were no seats or tables left. We just had to stand around.
There was only 4 choices of gin. Tonic was poured out of big bottles of Schweppes unless you specified Fevertree. Served in large plastic glasses. It was more like a rave than Gin and Disco - little choice of gin and no disco. I won’t make that mistake again.

Booked VIP which was not available on the day - no communication or update received. On arrival directed to VIP area and then when we got there told not available.

Fabulous venue .

This event was SO poor. We paid for VIP & upon arrival into the event found this wasn’t on offer. At no point did anyone inform us of this. Appalling. We had to chase staff to find out what was going on.
Considering it was sold as a gin & disco event, with an impressive promo video, it was NOTHING like that inside. False advertising to a tee. More like a school hall. Then the music! Words fail me, I think you need to re look at the definition of disco. Atrocious music and people were leaving left right & centre.
So I wonder how you will respond tho this feedback?

We booked VIP tickets only to find no VIP Area. What a waste of money! Acoustics didn’t work in the venue. Major issue with the venue bar understaffed and too small. Ran out of drinks half way through the night.

Absolutely awful for a gin and disco event, choice of gin was limited. Lemonade bottles left open and tasted flat, had to ask for a new bottle of lemonade to be opened and used. Last entry at 6 and main entertainment didn't start until 6. Left before this as it was just boring. Found better gin and disco atmosphere at a bar around the corner. Not quite sure what the ticker price was supposed to cover

We were not impressed. An expense to get in, expensive drinks, music was great but didn't have any well known songs so became very repetitive. They closed the toilets so couldn't even use the bathroom. Decided to close them when there was a big long queue! Place quickly emptied out due to price and no facilities. Most left to go to Wtherspoons over the road. Fantastic venue but organisers were only there for making money.

I have been to previous Gin events, whereby you're given tokens on arrival, sometimes with your own glass too, and you use them to purchase drinks. This was not the format here. The £25 fee was just an entrance fee. The drinks were expensive and there were no where near enough seats for the amount of people in there. The disco, was a DJ pumping out one tune after another- there was a total flat atmosphere. This was highlighted by the fact it was Liverpool PRIDE the same day, which was a free event and loads of atmosphere. We left after 1 drink and went to Wetherspoons over the Road, where we bumped into other partygoers who had done the same thing.

I won't be rebooking, that's for sure.

People attending were great lots of disco sequins and ready to party .
The music was not disco it as house !
It started with a little disco then swapped djs .
The Dj did not read the audience they voted with their feet as we did too and left .
The bar staff were great but the bar was a mess!
The venue was stunning !
Such a shame expections we’re much higher and it just did not work.

No offence but this wasn’t the best night we’ve had. The set up was pretty poor, the seating situation was awful, drinks way overpriced and too overcrowded for St Georges Hall which is spectacular inside though. Hopefully they can learn from this experience to be better organised in future and re-think how it should of been set up in the first place. Music was meh wayyyy too loud we walked out around 7pm and my ear drums was ringing could of toned it down a little bit.

Not a very good option of gin for a gin festival, only 1 small bar with a small number of staff serving causing very long wait times at the bar (up to 45 minutes)

Dance music not disco, not enough choice of warm drinks that were just on a table and people pour, thought it would be like a gin festival, only 2 people to serve, no atmosphere. What waste of money! Very disappointing so we left early!
