Waste of money - basically a load of merchandise stores in a sports hall , poor quality equipment during the talks as no one could hear what was being said so people just walked off.

I bought my 8 yr old son along and was completely disappointed at the lack of effort. There were no super heroes/costume characters apart from the people making an effort to dress up. My son was bored and couldn't associate with any of it. He had no idea who the actors were. A lot of money to pay to look at memorabilia stands and not a lot else as advertised on Facebook. It could be 100 times better

I found Guildford Comic-Con a huge disappointment. £12 day entry to look around a room no bigger than a sports hall packed with merchandise for sale and not a lot else! The actors did not seem like they wanted to be there and there was no atmosphere whatsoever. Everything had an added cost, for example, being charged to sit in Kitt from Knight Rider seemed like a joke after paying the extortionate entry fee. The whole experience was over within half an hour and we were not the only people there disappointed! The effort made by the people dressing up was the only saving grace.

My first comic-con. Great cos-play turnout, probably the best part of it. Amazing seeing some of the Red Dwarf cast, they are a real inspiration. Quite impressive for a small venue. Might be nice for a little more themed content as it was largely merchandising.

A good start but a lot of improvement needed,no access to cash,signs were very few and far between and a larger variety of traders and guests needed.

Great 1st Comicon! I loved it, though would have liked a little more to do as I'd bought a day ticket and expected to be there all day (I arranged a dog walker and everything!) but was actually only there for an hour, which was disappointing. It was great to meet my favourites from Red Dwarf/Dr Who and chat to them, but it was quite costly for a photo/autograph which seemed to put a lot of people off. I would happily have paid £5 each and got autographs from all of them, but £15/20 was just too much for me, so I made do with chatting to them and getting some photos early on. All in all, a fab first event, and other than the couple of things I mentioned, I had a great time, spoke to lots of like-minded people and have discovered that I like cosplay! Roll on the next one!

I really enjoyed Guildford Comic-Con. it was busy but not overly so which gave it a friendly atmosphere. Loved the guests, not too much queuing. Wish the talks had been recorded as it would have been nice to relived them. I'd never been to a convention like that before but would love to go again.

My first Comicon and I'm hooke, I'd give a 8/10 but and there's a but for the size of Guildford it was small, I'm sure the organiser weren't sure it was going to be a hit but I was there Saturday and I saw pictures on Sunday and loads of people turn up! I really hope you bring it back next year bigger and better I can't wait!!!!

Enjoyable but venue was a bit small. Still, what was in there was fun, met a few stars and got some goodies. The CosPlay was great, people put a lot of effort into them. Overall it was good fun, would have been nice to have had a bit more on show, if you took away the merchants then you only really had the CosPlays, KIT car and stars signing autographs. But I appreciate this was the first one, maybe next year they will use two halls or a bigger location.

Extreme poor organisation. No signs anywhere leading to or outside the venue, once inside there was still no signs letting the customer know where they should be heading. It was only as we start to make our way down the levels did we start to notice very small A4 signs stuck on the walls at random intervals. As expected this was a very small event, it is hard to see how anyone could spend more than a hour before running out of things to see and do!
The only real up side where the people who attended in costume, extremely friendly and happy to take pictures, not something that the organisers can take credit for.

My husband and me very much enjoyed Guildford Comic-con, the official cosplayers were great & very approachable & there was a good comic book stall. We brought our 4 year old son, who loved the cosplay, but there wasn't that much for him in the way of stalls - we came prepared to buy a few superhero toys for him, but there wasn't a lot of choice. Loved the fact that you could buy original comic book art, but there could have been a few more artists showing there wares. Overall, very enjoyable - I am sure it will build, year on year - we would come again next year!
