Not bad for an inaugural comic con. Trouble is I was at Gamescom a couple of weeks ago so of course it pales by comparison. Enjoyable venue, decent guests, just smaller than I'd hoped for. £12 is basically the same price as a Gamescom ticket which was about 30 times the size. Still, it's a small local event and off to a good start. Fingers crossed that it gets bigger. I'll continue to go if it happens again next year.

Not as big as I had expected.I guess it's more for the hard core fanatics (not me) as I didn't think it was as good as I would have thought it would be. Never mind! Everyone was friendly and lovely but once we had walked around once we were done, so too expensive for 1 hour. Some great merchandise there.

For a first I thought it was very good, very well layed out & plenty of space to walk around, the staff where very friendly & always on hand, I have been to many including London where you pay stupid money, overall a fantastic first event please come back.

It was well run, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the stall personnel were lovely and all the actor's were very good, shame not bigger but for 1st Comic-con I enjoyed it and would go again.

Had a great time and for the first time they'd put this together it was great! My only feedback would be regarding the venue and the marketing, can't see how they could make it much bigger other than moving venue, spectrum possibly has a larger space? It was a great location but can't picture fitting much more in that same space. A website for the event would have made 100x the difference. An itinerary would have been great, I missed the cosplay area entirely including the competition and talk, also missed booking photoshoots with the special guests, but if all the information was on a website rather than scattered on a facebook page it would have been so much easier. Looking through a lot of comments pre-event on Facebook lots of people feel the same. But for a first time in Guildford it wasn't half bad! Will return for 2017!

Let down by the poor sound system, and the lack of preparation. Event organiser should have tested the sound system without the present of the guest before hand. Overall the show was a good effort but a lot need to improve about the venue.

It's the first time I have been to any comic con event and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A wonderful amount of well known actors , that I enjoyed meeting and lots of stuff to buy

Small room (sports hall). Poor sound system for talks. Talks were in the corner of the hall, and no sound partitioning. Very difficult to hear the questions or answers. Good range of trade stalls given the small size. Some interesting models for photo-ops. Lack of communication about timings for signings and photo-shoots. Only sign about talk times was on a small noticeboard at the front, and a lot of people seemed to miss that. Short queue to get in. Good parking, toilets and food facilities. Excellent if you like to get signatures/chat/selfies with the special guests. Excellent turn-out of cosplay. Don't go expecting MCM. Good entertainment for a couple of hours. Very family-friendly.

Great famous guests, really enjoyed having the red dwarf guys there in particular. However, other than the blimps and KITT, it was about sales of goods, which was very disappointing. The retro gaming 'area' was tiny which was probably the biggest disappointment. Hardly and music and atmosphere from the speakers either. Had a great chance to play music continuously and also to have videos showing of games, films and tv shows. I've been to many such events before and I'd really love it to continue in Guildford as its the area I'm from.

It was a great day. Both my friend and I had been to the London Comic con but could never get in to hear the speakers. We had no trouble with Guildford. The only thing I would have liked was if it was a bit cooler because it was hot in the venue. It was lovely having access to the cafe upstairs and it was nice to have a sit down for a while.

The cosplay event was amazing and I just loved how the hosts were very encouraging of everyone that took part in the event. They were also very good with the children and made the kids feel really part of the event.

Another big plus was being able to park at the venue and not have to pay for expensive parking on top.

Overall my friend and i really enjoyed Guildford Comic Con. There are some things however which i feel would help improve further events such as the fact that the stalls didn't state whether they took card or cash maybe in the future there could be a cash machine near the entrance. I mention this as there were some merchandise which i would have bought if i had some more cash on me. This links into my next point which is perhaps giving the customers a rough price for autographs and memorabilia prior to the event, my friend didn't realise that some guest's autographs were a little bit dearer than others and only had enough money for just one autograph. The last improvement would be to have an area where you could buy food and drink at the event i know there was some vending machines and stalls that sold some soft drinks but my friend and i were pretty much there all of yesterday and didn't have a lot to eat. We would have gone to get something to eat either in or out of the center but you couldn't renter the event. On a positive note i really enjoyed the con, I met a few guests and bought some merchandise which i will cherish forever. The people on the stalls were very friendly and very helpful. It had a fun and friendly family atmosphere and i will definitely go to it again. Keep up the good work. Thank you very much.

Not terrible for a first attempt but if you want to have people coming back year after year you needed more variety of items for sale a lot more advertising to not only get in comic-con fans there but also a larger variety of sellers as well. Also the space to expand over the coming years as if it stays in just the 1 sports hall as it was held this year you will never have the potential to make it bigger and better.
I am only putting yes to recommend as I'm sure things will be better next year.

Fantastic day..
Well organised and really enjoyed the Q&A sessions. Got loads of autographs and photos.
If I had one complaint it would be the advertising, without Facebook I wouldn't have known about this. No signs coming in to the complex or even outside the complex itself and nothing mentioned on Guildford local radio.
