The event is really well organised. The staff were so polite and friendly and most importantly, helpful. Scanning tickets in the queue outside was a really thoughtful process. The general PA verged on the hilarious at times and was most entertaining. The facilities were clean and the catering was more than adequate. All in all a very well run event. Congratulations.

A brilliant location, right on the seafront of a beautiful and open-minded seaside resort with great shops and atmosphere, however, the venue and event was pretty small, so £25 entry was a little expensive. There was very little food available, no music on the Sunday and it was very quiet. Not a patch on the London one. However, it was easy to come and go from the event, and there were lots of places to eat/drink around the town. Top marks for the location (especially the view from the balcony bar), but mid marks for the event itself.

Its. A too big venue to host the tattoconventiion. There was no music an the layout was sometimes a bit unclear. Besides that i found it cold sat times.

Very well put together convention, gained some good business contacts and met some good fellow artists from all over the world.

First time at both the Tattoo convention and the Brighton Centre. It was amazing to see so many artists and different types of styles! also the "shopping" part of the event had amazing brands like Iron, hand made leather bracelets etc, vintage clothes, bags with skulls designed, Mexican Day of the dead skulls! literally it had something for everyone =)
I also managed to find a tattoo artist who had the style I wanted for my own tattoo and would never had known about him if it wasn't for the convention.
So cheers everyone for the very good work!

I think this event is massively overpriced for what's on offer. £25 is very expensive for entrance and I would expect some sort of entertainment or performance etc for that price, not just getting through the front door! The last exhibition I attended was Vegfest (held at the same venue). I know it is on a different subject however it is a lot cheaper and offers a multitude of different talks, demos, live music, comedy etc all included in the entrance fee. The atmosphere at the tattoo convention was very dull and lacklustre, and the tattooists were charging extremely high prices for their flash tattoos. Tiny tattoos that would take around 20 mins were priced at £60-£80! Better to go to a studio in my opinion. I know the artists prices aren't set by the organisers but perhaps the artists were being charged massive fees for their stands so had to build that into their prices? Organisers should seriously rethink either their entrance prices or what they provide for that money. Happy to pay £25 for a show or exhibition if I'm getting value for money, and with this event I definitely did not. I was there just 2 hours and in that time I had seen every artist table, retail stall and exhibition and even had time for a coffee! The venue is not great. It lacks any personality or style. Sorry to leave a negative review, I never usually do this but feel quite strongly on this occasion.

Could do with a few more live acts maybe few bands performers etc. Other than that very enjoyable had a great time.

This is the 7th year we have been going to Brighton tattoo con and have loved everyone. From when it was in the racecourse to the Hilton, it has alway been a great show with great music, great artist, great stalls and food and drinks. But I have to say this year it lacked something, don't get me wrong it's great to see all these fantastic artist under one roof and meet up with people we see every year. There was no live music going on during the day, the bars where more or less dead. Where before this was a great place to meet and chat to people and have some fun. Before you had different outlets like sailor jerrys for example which were a great bit of entertainment mixing the ****tails, this year the ****tail bar was well over priced £9 per ****tail and mine had far too much alcohol in (a night out would of been fine but during the day maybe not). Also we noticed that there were a few of the regular artist missing this year? I know they can't make all the shows that get put on over the year, but maybe this had something to do with the bank holiday weekend.
Don't get me wrong we love going, it's just it was missing the vibe and the fun and laughter it has had over the years. Unless you where having a tattoo done there wasn't much keeping you around.

friendly people - thats the best anyone can ask for. Would definetely go again. One small downside- not enough "shows". would be good to have a sit down show about tattoos rather than small group seminars
