Wats even cooler is that the venue was built in an old MOD torpedo factory! But, it's what is on offer here that makes it one of the best beer gardens in Bristol, from food trucks to a variety of craft beers, events and family days out, the space is inclusive and incredible, and if you're planning a trip to Bristol, its gotta be on your list.

When: 10am - 5pm Tuesday to Thursday, 6pm - 3am Friday and Saturday, closed rest of the week.

Where: Clock Tower Yd, Under stone archway, Bristol BS1 6QH

Now, whilst many may have spent a night boogying in the basement arches of The Loco Klub, some may not realise that the unique space has an exceptional beer garden that holds a variety of events in itself. Acting as the garden for the on-site pub that's open during the week, the garden acts as the ideal spot to grab a drink in the sun whilst waiting for a gig/event, or even (due to being incredibly close to Bristol Temple Meads station) a pint whilst waiting for your train.  Bristol beer gardens rarely have a club as amazing attached to them, so it's worth voting for the night that will subsequently follow a few bevs here.

When: Open when events are on!

Now, whilst this isn't a beer garden that is open all the time (it's mainly ticketed events), if you can get down to one of the incredible events that they hold here, you won't regret it. Formerly the Stokes Croft beer Garden, this space hosts a 50-table garden that runs Tuesday - Sunday every week. With a varied event list including music, comedy, circus, cinema, and live football, you can visit here so many times and have a completely different experience. So whilst this beer garden is ticketed, for pure vibes and fun when you are there, it has to be included on any list of best beer gardens in Bristol.

An absolute icon of the Bristol beer garden scene, The King Street Brew Hosue takes no prisoners with the size of its garden (just don't expect any grass.) The part brewery, part pub, takes up nearly the entirety of the cobbled street in front of it, and when the sun's shining, the atmosphere here booms with drunken ramblings and mates laughing (albeit with a farmer twang.) Not only are the vibes great, but the beer on show is no joke, with lots brewed in-house, and a conveyor belt of new crafts you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere with a better selection. So get yourself down here for your next sunny booze, you won't regret it.

Bingo Lingo at Motion

When: Whenever the Bingo's on!

Where: 74-78 Avon St, Bristol BS2 0PX

now, again, we may be cheating a little here. The garden attached to Bristols' famous Motion Club is usually reserved for smokers and those looking for a breather mid-sesh, but, when Bingo Lingo comes to town from time to time, it transforms into an incredible garden lined with tables for the booziest bingo session of your lives. Seriously, you will have so much fun at these events that you may even ask Nana if you can come and join her next time (don't be too disappointed when she doesn't down a thatchers.)

So, whilst not open all the time, the Bingo Lingo beer garden nights here are one of the best laughs you'll have on here, and, whilst it is cheating a bit, these nights deserve a spot on this list.

Tobacco Factory

Image: Tobacco Factory on Facebook

When: 10am - 11pm Sunday to Thursday, 10am - 12am Friday and Saturday

Where: Raleigh Rd, Southville, Bristol BS3 1TF

Finally, how could any list of this sort be done without the inclusion of the Tobacco Factory? Located in an old Tobacco Factory (shock horror) this vibrant venue offers a range of vegetarian and vegan food and drink, most of which are brewed and sourced locally. Alongside the large, industrial-style space of the main bar is the outside yard that transforms the venue in the warmer months.

It hosts a variety of events throughout the summer too, as well as a local market every Sunday, and the increasingly popular Factoberfest beer festival in mid-September each year. It's one of the most diverse Bristol Beer Gardens and is a must-visit when you're in the city.
