The first in a new series taking a swift look at new and emerging acts and artists. This time it's a Dublin rock and roll band making serious waves with promising early releases (and a very famous Dad).

Who? Inhaler

Hometown: Dublin

For fans of: Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Sherlocks, The Killers

What's the story? Hoping to "bring rock and roll to the masses" (according to the About section on their Facebook page), Inhaler were formed in 2016 and have so far set their musical stall out very nicely indeed.

Early tracks 'I Want You' and 'It Won't Always Be Like This' show a lot of promise, with indie rock sensibilities well adhered to, creating infectious rock and roll which has made the band stand out in a hugely crowded genre.

Lead singer Eli Hewson is the son of Bono, no less. This is evident in the band's early work and in their latest track, 'My Honest Face' (listen above), which shows that Eli has inherited his father's famous pipes.

Where can I see them? Earlier this year the band supported Noel Gallagher at Heaton Park, so are already used to the biggest of stages. They head out on tour in Autumn 2019 and you can find tickets for the band's Birmingham date at the Castle And Falcon below.
