Fresh Island add KRS-One to the line up

As the Balkans become more and more rammed full of festival options Fresh Island, introduced last year, continues to stand out with its focus on hip-hop and R&B. With a line-up already boasting one legend of the genre, Snoop Dogg roughing up reggae style as Snoop Lion, then the next announcement ensures even more rock solid beats and rhymes, KRS-One.

The man behind Boogie Down Productions is a pillar of the genre, held by many as the finest to pick up a microphone and like Snoop, quite partial to adopting a Caribbean approach to his rhyme delivery. Canadian duo Art of Fresh and Swiss tag team Nefew & DJ Costa also bolster the bill.

Fresh Island 2013 had already shown its intent with an ensemble of talent that included one of the hottest properties in hip-hop at present, the swag heavy maestro A$AP Rocky, whose collaboration with Skrillex is sure to be one of the highlights of the festival.
