The hugely influential BBC Sound of 2012 list was released earlier this month, which highlights 15 emerging artists tipped for stardom in the coming year.

The list, now on its tenth year, has perviously predicted big things for the likes of Adele, Jessie J and Ellie Goulding, and is compiled from the nominations of over 160 industry commentators from across the UK. The nominees must not be already well known to the public, or had a single in the UK top 20.

Among the artists on this year's longlist are Swedish dance duo Niki and the Dove, sassy girl fronted Brooklyn group Friends, punchy five piece Spector and London alt-folk outfit Dry the River - all of whom will be playing small venues in Manchester early next year.

If you want to catch them in more intimate surroundings before they inevitably hit the big time, get your tickets for these gigs now!
