Review of Big Family Festival
There was so much missing from the previous two years I/we have been. I took my sister and was embarrassed by the lack of events on. There was a big top missing which normally holds lots of day long activities for children of all ages this year, zero! There was only food and fair, all highly priced which of course the children will want to go on as there wasn't much else to do in the rain. No extra shelter from either sun or rain. Just everyone cramming into 2 tents. I could see big cut backs thus year, we left at 4pm on Saturday and didn't return on Sunday what has been paid for. A huge disappointment all round. Paying £5 for the programme lanyard also highly priced when last year was in the ticket price. Activities such as slime making for £5 is unreasonable when you have 2 children. So glad I didn't camp this year either after last year's rude abnoxious unreasonable stewarding staff. We will not be returning!!!

Review of Big Family Festival
This is my first time to the festival and me and my 5 year old daughter visited on the Sunday, the last day of the festival and unfortunately it was raining and windy but we wore raincoats and had fun! We arrived after 4pm and mainly came to see sooty. The sooty show was fantastic and funny as usual. pip ahoy was good as well. Whilst we were there most of the funfair rides etc were shut and packing away and the drink prices in th e bar were very expensive. Watched the karaoke for a little while to stay dry and my daughter wanted to go home (she has autism) so wanted some quiet time.
Not sure if I would visit next year. The ticket was a fair price with 50% off and I got a free carer pass so paid just under £10 and only 25mins drive so not too bad.

Disappointed, compared with last year I thought that they hadn't listened to people's reviews much. Yes you can't predict the weather but you can plan for it better. Seemed even more disorganised this year and even less value for money. To say I was disappointed was an understatement especially as I had raved about it to my friends and bought along three other families with me this year.....I was highly embarrassed by how poor it was. Even the littlest thing like actually having crayons/felts left available on the Sunday when it was raining....good job I had bought my own with me. I had great company with me and I made the most of the day as we could but really sad that such a great concept just seems to be a money making flop!

Massively overpriced and only local freebie acts. Many were very good but for the price you would expect one or two famous singers.
Also disabled parking was a joke, toilets were foul, too few and again only ONE disabled loo that could have been used in torturing terrorists.

Review of Big Family Festival
Sadly ruined by the weather this weekend... understandably out of organizers hands but this is England and the forecast had said rain for days before so feel more planning should have taken place to ensure more shelter was available. We paid for a family of five to have 2 nights camping and at best got to spend 1 hour in the festival after setting up and having no where to go when the heavens opened... both marquees were full to the brim. Despite the weather there was also a lack of entertainment for the children... first time for us and was expecting so much more after all it was call BIG family festival. Came with no real food as had read their would be plenty to choose from but was all rather expensive especially to do 2 meals a day and Saturday evening bar 1 vender all had shut by 7.30. Drinks were especially extortionate. We were invited to come by friends and although some parts were enjoyable overall feel a little robbed.

Things were too far apart, not enough choice of food stalls, not enough going on, when catering for families needs to be more areas to shelter especially when expecting bad weather. Might go next year just for the day to see if it’s any better before attempting a weekend camping again. We were a party of 10 adults and 12 children. Arrived Friday and left Saturday night ☹ï¸Â

Lots of wasted space. Need more things there.
The Allotment caterer doing coffees and teas plus chicken salad pittas- she swore at me! At a kids festival!
Had queued for 30 mins, seen 2 people served hot drinks- so slow.
I then asked if they still had food- she said no she had to go to Asda!
On the Saturday at 1pm?
When I asked why she’d let people queue without letting them know no food she rudely told me to go next door for food.
I said she didn’t deserve custom do she told me to eff off!
In front of children.

Very little to do for £50 for a family. Most things were paid extras. Driving experience for 5-9year olds was cancelled but not publicised. The few workshops were quickly overbooked with no information provided that they needed to be booked. More stalls would have at least added some interest.
Overall, much the same content as local free town carnivals. Oh... and please stop sounding police sirens every 30seconds! Very annoying.
