Review of Staffordshire Balloon Festival
Fantastic day had by all, the only downside is the prices of everything when you are in there it would be better if maybe there was an option to add to tickets such as a fair wristband and a meal option for a fiver add a wild bird experience for ÂŁ10 etc or something as everything was shockingly expensive and i doubt anything fro. the venfors would have been donated to make a wish. we had to walk to lidl to get supplies. The actual show is phenomenol I cant fault it at all such an amazing experience had by all. Also the parking getting off wasn't very well manned they should have the people who directing traffic in also directing traffic out such as so many cars from each way as it took over an hour to move 10 yards

Fantastic day out, would definitely recommend going to everyone. The only complaint I had was when we leavingâŠ..by then a one way system was in operation and we wasnât allowed to walk out the way we came in and sent all round the parade ring back of stands etc to get to the disabled parking which for me being disabled caused a lot of unnecessary pain. We tried to explain to the lady directing us out but basically she wasnât concerned.

Last year there was a lot more teenager/adult rides at the fair . This year it was very disappointing as there wasnât any, but I will come again next year as the balloons are lovely to watch.

Very reasonably priced tickets to get in and very family-friendly. We didn't know to bring own food and drink so the prices were very very expensive inside, but aside from that, the event was brilliant.

Review of Staffordshire Balloon Festival
Having been to the free event in Telford last year I was expecting at least the same - if not a better - experience at a paid event. This was not the case at all.
As far as I'm aware there were no birds of prey - we certainly didn't see any.
There was no information over a PA system to let people know what was going on. And no general background music either.
We paid for the monster truck and were about to get on when we were told it was cancelled due to complaints from local residents. It was 9.30pm. We had a refund but the kids were bitterly disappointed.
Whilst there were a lot of balloons taking off during the late afternoon/sunset, there were only 4 for the Night Glow - where were the rest? It wasn't much of a spectacle.
I can't comment on the food offerings other than they were expensive. Luckily we had taken our own picnic.
The funfair was great for kids although expensive at ÂŁ4/ÂŁ5 per ride. All the rides were for kiddies though, nothing for older age groups/adults.

Enjoyable evening. The event seemed to be more for the children and not the adults. Numerous kids fairground rides. Not that much for adults. Only ONE craft tent at the whole event. Would have been better if there was more for adults to see and do and participate in. Thanks.

Review of Staffordshire Balloon Festival
The event was really good, admission price was excellent but food and drink prices were rediculously high; hot dog and chips ÂŁ11, pint of beer ÂŁ6, doughnuts 1 for ÂŁ1 or 5 for ÂŁ4.50, one coffee vendor appeared to be charging ÂŁ7+ per cup of coffee, this vendor also was not displaying any prices so you did not know what you were paying until you received your order.
The balloons were great but I personally would have preferred to see more of them in the in the glow up event.
Music was good from the tribute bands especially Queen (Maybe you could get an Abba tribute and a Springsteen tribute for next year).
I think that the toilets could have been set up as 2 block in seprate places instead of all in one place given the vast area that Uttoxeter race course covers.
Only found one water tap late in the day so these need to be well sign posted especially given how hot it was on Saturday
I would definitely recommend The Staffordshire Ballon Festival and intend to go again next year if the wheather is anywhere near as good as it was this year.
Over all brilliant event thanks

Really good venue, had a lovely time, really good acts however - balloons were late up with no communication about delays and some acts didnât attend. Cost of childrens activities over priced and would have been helpful to have more then one icecream van

A really great event đ - plenty of eateries and a couple of outside bars (although prices were high) . Particularly liked the bar with rooftop terrace. Well managed family event. Friendly security staff and vendors. The evening live groups were fantastic. It was really great to see the hot air balloons launch and sail dreamily across the sky. The grand finally of balloons lit up by their burners to music was wonderful and then the evening brought to a close with a firework display. All in all a great family event. Definitely will be back next year.
