A great event hosted by a great guy! A little tricky to find as was nearby parking although really worth the effort. We couldn't find reasonably priced accommodation on this occasion but understand that to be due to the boat show. We'll be back!

Dark has previously been one of our favourite events and definitely lived up to our high expectations at this new new venue. I would prefer the music to be more mainstream rock and perhaps not quite as loud. Still, a great time was had by all and we'll be back! 😊

Fantastic place and amazing night

A lot of effort went into the music, BUT it was far too loud for SAFETY. By this I mean, it was a fetish party and we were meeting and playing with new friends, which means careful communication was necessary in order to establish boundaries and limits. It would be well worth sacrificing perhaps 25-30% of the volume so as to ensure the careful communication that we all seek after can take place without risk of any upset due to breakdowns in comminication. This would also save staff from dealing with any brickbats during or after the event.

That said, the event was otherwise well organised, with a good cross-section of equipment and helpful staff. The favourite piece of equipment formost ofus was the spanking bench, so maybe two of those next time?

A great venue, the equipment brought in for the event was varied and provoked conversations and curiosity. The staff were friendly too, always a good sign in any venue and event.

I gave a slightly lower “score” for the music for only one reason. The selection and variety of music genre was superb but the volume was just too loud. It made conversation difficult and at times frustrating when questions and answers needed to be repeated. Also at a play party it’s part of the experience to hear a spank landing, or a cry that a particularly well delivered paddle has drawn an audible response. Please consider turning down the volume a little.

A small niggle that will not stop me attending future Dark parties or recommending them. It was a pleasure to be see the bdsm and kink community out in force for such a great, fun night and the venue is located quite handily in the heart of the city. The featured performer was mesmerising …. How does she not burn herself??? I’m looking forward to playing more at the next event.

Amazing night - exactly what is much needed by the community

I had an absolutely great time and would both recommend it to my friends and certainly go again. If I was to make any criticism it would be that the music was too loud. In some cases it was difficult to use a safe word when playing other than that it was fantastic and I loved it.

Music was a bit weird and not as expected. Definitely too loud and got in the way of play rather than enhancing it.

Very good although I didn't see as many dungeon monitors are I would have expected especially with cleaning down of equipment and making sure that happens.
Questionable on letting someone fist another person in a carpet area as that will leave secretions in the carpet and to me a DM should have asked them to move to a wooden floor for cleaning purposes.
Apart from that very good set up and well organised.

Great event. Music needs attention, too many genres not in keeping with event type & too loud. It was an amazing night though.
