Review of Lot 13 A New Ghost Story For Christmas 2023
Absolutely brilliant, a short play that felt fully immersive. The director has been very skilful in the way they used the house to take you on a journey.
We loved the combination of the 100 years ago plot which was interlaced with current times. Great acting too.

Review of Lot 13 A New Ghost Story For Christmas 2023
In all fairness, the actors did really well And was very professional no discredit to them. I just thought on arrival a mince pie, and some bubbly would've gone along way to make it feel more Christmassy. Also, a little more ghostly goings on wouldn't have gone miss maybe walking into a room that was very cold, and with a little Artificial smoke Would have made it feel more spooky . Very sorry, but was very disappointed in the whole set up everybody that walked out was saying the same thing in the car park

Review of Christmas Dinner with Live 1940s Jazz Music
Very relaxing and enjoyable evening. Food and service were excellent. Staff were very helpful - particularly when we took the wrong road and missed the entrance! The music accompanied the meal rather than overwhelming it, allowing my wife and I to carry on a normal conversation.

Review of Lot 13 A New Ghost Story For Christmas 2023
I think it is an excellent concept but just not executed to it's full potential. There was a nice build up to the finale but there was no particular scare or fright. The prop skeleton got more giggles from the audience. I hope this isn't rude but rather used as constructive criticism

Review of Victorian Father Christmas at Samlesbury Hall
A lovely location, enhanced by the roaring wood fire and 1:1 time with Father Christmas. Only improvement would be a better gift for the child than a candy cane. The night before Christmas story would be my suggestion. You can pick up copies pretty cheap.

Review of Victorian Father Christmas at Samlesbury Hall
A beautiful highlight of Christmas so far. A one to one experience with an enchanting father Christmas, who spent time with my 4 year old girl. For her first experience of understanding the concept of Christmas on the whole, she was left in awe and could not stop saying ' he was a nice man', leaving her excited for the next days to come. I would highly recommend and we look forward to visiting next year! Xx

Review of Victorian Father Christmas at Samlesbury Hall
Literally in and out. We sat there for 2 minutes friendly Santa and elf and nice fire, however was no music and you'd think for the price of it that you'd at least get some sort of present! Not like the venue is anywhere close either especially when we don't drive and come from Blackburn. Will not be attending again next year unfortunately and would not recommend
