Review of Oktoberfest Preston
Absolutely overpriced rip off designed to part the punter from as much cash as possible. At £16.50 for early bird unreserved seating you didn’t even get a free cheap plastic stein they were an extra £5. Overpriced drinks, couldn’t hear the comedian, annoying lighting that meant you couldn’t look at the stage unless you wanted to be blinded and a so called Bavarian band that started ok but just went down hill. Stick to the Bavarian music and go to Bavaria to do your homework. The only upside was the dj who played a couple of sets of crowd pleasing singalong/Dan along tracks. Thankfully the more people drank the less they noticed the appalling band. We came without tea expecting a wide choice of concessions, there were 2. One selling bratwurst and fries the other cheeseburgers or pulled pork in a finger bun No apple sauce really poor.what about bockwurst, goulash, dumplings etc etc save your money guys go to a gin festival instead they are better value.

Review of Oktoberfest Preston
Too expensive bar far, even charge for paying by card, thought it was Ryanair at one stage.
£11 entry then £11 a drink.
£5 for a keepsake Stein glass which was plastic.
Kiss Marry Avoid
Avoid good idea profit was king, certainly not value for money.

Review of Prestfest; Tom Zanetti & Fatman Scoop
Odd to pay to be cordoned in on the flag market when the whole show was visible from the side of the road. The stage was effectively the side of a truck. Would be ok if drinks etc inside were a fair price compared to nearby bars but prices were steep including for still water. A number of people were smoking drugs nearby and my partner heard people near the portable toilets talking about taking hard drugs - evidence that this was rife was clear from many people seen gurning on the big screen. Speaking of the toilets, a handful of portable toilets for an estimated audience of 5000 people was hardly appropriate. We left the arena on 3 occasions to use the facilities of venues nearby as the queue was so long. I don't expect these venues were happy about this and we clearly were not the only ones taking this option. I found some parts of Fatman Scoop's set really distasteful, particularly the parading of scantily clad, intoxicated young women on stage. I thought this event was planned to put Preston's nightlife on show as something to be proud of. Personally I went home feeling embarrassed I had paid the ticket price.
