Review of Code Red presents Smells like 90\'s Spirit
DJs didn't play the music advertised and you couldn't request anything as they blocked the area. Music was awful. Ranging from spice girls to heavy rock. Pick a theme, genre or era as advertised and stick to it. That's what we came to hear and paid for.

I thought there was going to be a live band. First time here and wasn’t sure what to expect.
The night wasn’t what I expected at all, some of the music wasn’t familiar to me (advertised as 90s) but the place itself was good and will chance another night out here at some point. I don’t think this should have been a ticketed event in my opinion

Review of Code Red presents Smells like 90\'s Spirit
I love the Met lounge - being going for years. Great atmosphere, great place, full of alternative people like me who don't want any trouble and don't want chatting up or being rubbed up against by some sweaty man on the dance floor. I feel safe there.
At this event and the one before I went to I was disappointed by the music - my personal opinion and that of my particular friendship group is that it was too heavy and alienating (and also not what we were expecting from the advert). Whilst the likes of Slipknot and Korn is absolutely great, there was far too much of that genre played. There are soooo many great 'alternative' bands from that era such as New Model Army, Cure, Wonder Stuff, Jesus Jones, Placebo, Red Hot Chillies, Primal Scream, Janes Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Radiohead, PWEI et etc etc that I feel would have been better received by your audience (us). I come to the Met lounge because I'm a music lover and I want to dance but I fear your DJ's with their primary focus on metal is alienating people like me and its a real shame to see less and less people each time I go and even less on the dance floor, but I understand why. Might be time to mix up the DJ's too.
