A lovely festival. You could see there had been a lot of work put into it and it all came together to make three magical days helped by the good weather. There was something for everyone and the whole environment felt safe and family orientated. Would recommend and go back. Well done to the organisers, bands and singers, providers of entertainment and displays, food & drink suppliers and security. Well done Bute!

a great family festival with a lovely chilled out atmosphere. great bands, and childrens entertainers and activities. Small venue means you can listen while keeping an eye on children or even back at the campsite. good range of food and drink at reasonable prices.

Review of ButeFest 2016
Excellent family friendly festival. Rich diversity of music and workshops. Enjoyed the addition of the acoustic tent this year. Good community of music fans. Facilities kept clean. Stewards friendly and welcoming while overseeing event. As a vegetarian I would have welcomed greater food choice and missed the haggis neeps and tattie van from previous year. Some recycling bins would be good too in both event and camping area. Thanks for a great weekend.

Review of ButeFest 2016
Music was generally very good with some good stuff on the Cal-Mac Culture tent and acoustic tent but although The Magic Numbers and Idlewild are good bands they aren't Punchy enough to headline . Gerry Cinnamon was the star of the weekend for me and he really got the crowd jumping . The fire pit was great but the bar was too far from main stage which meant you missed music standing in queue . 1 Bar was not enough and ran out of stuff every night . 3 friends arrived by yacht on saturday night and when I enquired about a price for entry for them arriving at 10:30 pm I was told £ 40 per head , not exactly promoting the event eh !! Needless to say they never came . Security should have shut down excessive partying on campsite as one particular group kept everyone awake till 04:30 am .

Came to Butefest as the Wickerman festival was cancelled this year. Although much smaller, what a great alternative! Good weather always helps, but the whole 3 days was chilled, friendly and great atmosphere all round.

Great weekend. Weather far better than last year and made the event. Would still like to see greater selection of beers (non-craft!) on sale but understand organiser has a micro brewery so will want to ensure own products being sold. A carry oot solves the problem though!
