Review of Club Class Luxury Pass at The Social Festival

The price was cheaper at the venue so feel we were ripped off by buying them in advance. It also advertised GHD's which there were only 3 pairs and 2 pairs of babyliss strightners. When the music had finished we went to use the toilets and they had already closed. This is when we most needed them as everyone wanted the toilet at the end of the night. We then had to que up with all the other hundreds of people when we had paided extra not to do this. One member of staff was quiet rude when I asked if there were showers to use, which I presumed was part of the pampering, why else would you be needing to dry and straightner your hair. All the other members of staff were friendly enough.

Last year seemed to be much better in terms of festival layout & atmosphere. Would have been better to see some bigger names on the saturday line up. Annoying that headliners were on the friday which is a less accessible day.

Decent weekend but disappointed there was no water station. On the friday it was only the Meadow open so the venue was packed and very hot so it was hard to stay hydrated and it was expensive paying £3 for a bottle of water that was gone with in seconds as it was so warm in there. Overall the event was good.

The stables was the best stage of the event with the best atmosphere and vibes with the music played. Black Coffee smashed his set and was definitely the highlight of the festival. Reasonably young crowd but overall good vibes and no trouble seen. Will be going again next year!

I've been a big Sasha and Diggers fan for years and when I saw they were playing back to back at Winter Social 2016. I instantly grabbed ticket for me and my wife - amazing! Then, at short notice an old friend decides to get married that weekend in west wales. Despite my inner instincts I opted for the wedding and headed of head in hands to Wales. Gutted (wedding lovely tho) So when I saw the winter Social come up, I jumped on it and that was our first visit to your event. I've been to plenty over the years, and I thought yours was fab, great venue, great setup, very friendly staff and really nice crowd. All the best ingredients. And not see that combination for quite a while. We loved it, nice one. Hot Since 82 and the main man Nic smashed it.

Fast forwards to this event - (we couldn't make it Friday sadly) but Saturday, I would have walked from Reading if needed. Despite weather being a bit fresh, we found again, great set up on arrival, security efficient friendly and organised. Into the event, really nice size, not too big. These sized events are the best versus the big monsters - if you can make it work, keep it this size :) We hit the VIP bar and bumped into some people we met last time there. As a comment, this area wasn't the best and could have offered a bit more?

We hit the other stages, the woodland and caravan I really liked, festie style. Great and on a warmer night would have been amazing.

Ultimately though, the main event was Sasha and Diggers and I have to say, it was the business. Awesome progressive house at its very best, with some of the older sounds layered in. But bang upto date. The Funktion one system terrific as always, was next to the stack up front so got the full force. The security loved it as much as the crowd. The Meadow room is perfect for the classic big sweaty club night.

A truly epic set and one for the fans that. Thanks. very much Social!

We will be back (even if you don't book Sasha/Diggers again - but please please do!)

Good Lineup, Very Good Quality Sound Systems, friendly crowd and quite friendly security.
The only real negative side it has been the bad quality of the food and quite high prices of the drinks on sale. On the event info it was written that drinks prices were going to be popular.
5£ for a pint of fosters (diluted, I think) beer is not a popular price.
6£ for a small glass of wine is not a popular price.

Really good festival but drinks expensive and an indoor, or covered chill out area with DJ's would be nice. Also having one member of staff trying to control hundreds of people trying to get on the coaches to Maidstone was poor.

Unfortunately with the weather so cold, and rainy - having outdoor tents wasn't enjoyable at all! It was difficult making our way to/from the venue, and the sound wasn't great in most of the tents. 1/5.

This festival was an absolute shambles. The sound in the smaller room off of the meadow was so quiet you couldn't even hear it you could hear the main room more!
I really wanted to see Bjarki but the room was completely empty and had no atmosphere.
The venue is so far away from London - well and anywhere really! We left at 10pm only to wander around for 45 minutes trying to find the so called 'shuttle bus' which was not labelled at all. We had to cut through the taxi queue, which was full of angry people stood waiting for taxis that just weren't turning up. We made it home at 1:30am.
When we found the shuttle bus, the completely miserable driver overcharged us - it said on your website it was £3, it was £5? We were £2 short and he was refusing to take us. He was actually willing to leave two girls stranded in the middle of nowhere. He told us it wasn't his problem and to 'Take it up with the Social' Luckily a kind stranger gave us the extra money.
The distances on your website and on Skiddle were completely wrong - it claimed its an 18 minute walk from the furthest station? You must be joking. it would have been about an hours walk, if not more - DOWN THE MOTORWAY.
So, yet again more money forked out for a taxi seeing as there was no shuttle bus on the way there? If there was we certainly couldn't find it after walking around for another 45 minutes. Wasting yet more time.
To add insult to injury, you had DJ's like Heidi, Nick Curly and Sidney Charles/Sante playing from a CARAVAN?! I mean come on. These are top international DJs that play in Ibiza every year! You couldn't stretch to a tent for them even though it was almost October and pretty much certain to rain? There was less than 100 people watching them!

I wish I had tried to sell my tickets and not bothered. Should have known once you started selling buy one get one free tickets that it would be awful.

My advice, next year, don't bother.

Was expecting big things from the festival in all honesty as a few mates have said previously it was good. Just felt disappointed by a number of things.

Changes in line up and times was a big annoyance. The things that got me the most was 3 guys pretending to be Apollonia for an hour which was confusing. One of the Martinez brothers not being there.

All in all think price was made it okay as we only paided £10/£15 for the weekend but thing price reflected standard of the festival. Lights in the main room were good though.
