Review of The Social Festival 2017
Top little festival in a great location with some quality acts on. Reasonable prices well organised and great taxi and free bus links to get you home. Well played Nic Fancuilli and the team for serving up this epic weekend. Atmosphere slightly edgy on Friday night due to a handful of idiots, this was in no means the fault of the festival though. Will definitely return next year.

The djs played fab tunes but didn't feel the same as last year,lost a bit of its magic I feel this was my 6th social and have always loved it but VIP area wasn't as good and in a different area was so much better last year ,shame about weather as made all the ground waterlogged and middy but still had a good time with my family and friends

Review of The Social Festival 2017
It was for me the second The Social in row, and the third for one friend of mine.
Last year was amazing, for this reason I came back: line up, services, shuttle, coincidence all perfect.
This year instead..... a disaster.
He had realised that all the discounts won from all my crew meant that the tickets realise didn't go well- fair enough. Probably for the unhappy date chosen for the event (end of September it's probably too far away from the summers' vibes, but fortunately the weather has been clement).
Anyway, arrived in Maidstone from London nobody knew about the event in town. Not a sign to follow, nothing at all. Not even one friend of mine, who now leaves in Maidstone knew about it, and he his a raver. However, we knew the way to get there thanks to my last year experience.
Arrived there, there were only 2 maps around all the area (and one was stolen around 4 pm). I managed to understand where The BARN (the Fabrics' stage) at 5pm, loosing 1hour of Function, one of the reasons I decided to come. I had to ask the assistants due the lack of the sign at the entrance.
the worst part has been for sure the way back home, due a car crash, the shuttle service was out, as it was the cabs' one. One of the assistants suggested us to go down the hill and to try to stop a cab over there...... a totally dark curvy street in the middle of nowhere. absolutely unsafe. Anyway, we tried and we managed to stop one cab who overcharged as seeing the emergency situation and he dropped us at the station Maidstone East. As I said before, I came last year so I knew that at 23.06 leave the last train. One year ago the train left at midnight, probably thanks to a deal with the festival organizers, NOT THIS YEAR. We arrived there at 23.10 and the station was closed. So we had again to deal the cab driver thief who tried again to steal from us more money asking for £350 to leave us in London Zone 6. In the end, we managed to call Uber who asked us half of his price to drop us home.
All very disappointing- less organized it couldn't be. Especially because last year was outstanding, and according to my friend 2 years ago was crazy awesome.
They surely owned us an apology. A festival doesn't have to be organised just in music, line up and entertainment. A Festival organization have to be complete and have an emergency plan.
I won't come back next year, for sure.

Disappointed with the VIP area and the sound systems all clashed with each other making it difficult to enjoy the music properly! Shame it was half the size of last year. Despite all the above we had a fabulous week end...thank you

Really enjoyed the festival. Nice and intimate. General relaxed vibe. Didn't see any trouble. Hard to get taxis when finished. Overall great experience and we'll definitely go back. Cheers.
