No drink or food allowed in, then they rip you off. Stood in a queue for 2:15 hours to get sub standard food.
Claustrophobic venue.

Loved this event and would definitely be returning and recommending. Had a great time with friends, great vibes, people and music. However, the drinks were absurdly overpriced (£6+ for a can of cider is wild) and watered down, and I was waiting over an hour to get food, just for a number of items to be out of stock by the time it was my turn. Having just 4 food tents to service a whole “festival” isn’t acceptable and I hope it’s something the organisers look to improve upon for next year as it sadly meant I missed out on certain artists/DJs due to the enormous wait. I also think the queueing needs to be better organised (to stop people from cutting in). Otherwise music was great, love that there were the inner “clubs” and main stage for different vibes.

Brilliant!!! Loved the choice of 3 stages with different sounds systems, plus the provision of some seating and tables. Plenty of bars, though I would have liked there to be more food stalls to lessen the long queues. Hope this event returns next year.

Who in their right mind thought two food stalls would suffice?... The event organisers are completely out of touch with reality! As for the drink prices, welcome to rip-off Britain! oops sorry, Hackney Reggae Festival!! Are we not living in difficult times?.... I guess the promoters are aiming to alienate the locals & just cater for the middle & privileged classes... gentrification springs to mind... need I say more.

An enjoyable and successful event. Good time had by all. Great venue. The only downside were the food stalls. Service was slow with queuing time up to 1 hour and food was running out 3 hours before the end of the event. It would have been better to have more food stalls.

I attended this event and must start with what I was very unhappy about. I have a very restricted diet (no meat, including fish, no dairy, no wheat), but still NOT allowed to bring in a small bag of peanuts, plus x2 small health bars, my brand new green juice and a 1.5 litre bottle of water ALL of which was confiscated and told would be thrown in the bin as "food" was not allowed and my bottles too large! I said this to the so called "security personnel" who was conducting the search, that I have a "special diet", but he said it didn't matter as no "food" was allowed. Bearing in mind I'm almost 60 years old I was totally unimpressed. However, there was an ample amount of people that I witnessed who managed to get their "w**d/ganga/cannabis" inside though. I also noticed there appeared to be absolutely no provision made for wheelchair users. If you're supposed to be so all inclusive why was no consideration given to this?

On a positive note the sound systems/music was fantastic, there was a lovely vibe and a good mix of older and younger people having a great time!

Hackney reggae festival is such a vibe. The music was on point in every arena. I will be back next year. The only negative on the day was that the queues for food were to long.
