The Hip Hop Shakespeare Company workshop at Aloft London Excel Aloft London Excel is hosting a session of The Hip-Hop Shakespeare Company's lyric-writing and performance workshop on the 12th November at 7.00pm. Join us at this energetic workshop, which explores the parallels between two of the world's most famous art forms. Josh Osho will be leading the interactive and ultra-contemporary workshop on some of Shakespeare’s most famous works with award-winning hip-hop artist Akala & The Hip-hop Shakespeare Company. The Hip-Hop Shakespeare Company was formed in February 2009 by MOBO award-winning UK hip-hop artist Akala. It is a music theatre production company aimed at exploring the social, cultural and linguistic parallels between the works of Shakespeare and that of modern day hip hop artists, offering young people a different view of the arts and ultimately of themselves. Josh Osho regularly collaborates and tours with The Hip-Hop Shakespeare Company. This workshop is for everyone: even if you are not interested in hip-hop or Shakespeare.
