Fabulous couple of hours being entertained by the newly appointed manager of The Phil sharing his considerable knowledge (and love) of gin and gin making. We got to sample eight different gins with a small taster and then each gin served with two different mixers and garnishes. Staff from Whitley Neill Gins, Turncoat Distillery and Purity Brewing Company were also there and gave informative, amusing talks. The night finished with a short quiz with the lucky winners walking away with a goody bag packed with freebies from the three companies. And the cost of all this? Nothing, nada, niente - the tickets were free!! We kept waiting for the catch, which never arrived. We've spent £30 - £50 a ticket on gin journey/gin experience events that weren't a patch on this event. Highly recommended!
