Review of GZA (Wu Tang Clan)
Had to leave the gig early as a fight broke out by the side of where we were stood which resulted in me ending up covered in blood. Despite the fact we had been throughly searched on the way into the venue and there were lots of security present it took about two minutes before anyone showed up to defuse the situation which resulted in one of our party having to leave as she felt unsafe. The fight started because the guy next to us was touching the girl behind him and eventually ended up grabbing her before another member of her party 'intervened.' I gave a statement to the medical team that dealt with the guy and explained he got what he deserved.
Your problem on this evening...cocaine! It was obvious the place was full of c**ed up nobheads from the moment we arrived.
Also, who was the sound engineer? He was absolutely useless, all that could be heard was a really dull bass and the kick drum. It might be an idea that the sound engineer actually listens to the artist before completely ruining gigs for people in future.
A gig I'd been looking forward to for months absolutely ruined by poor organisation.

Review of GZA (Wu Tang Clan)
Bit of a sham and I have to say I’m reluctant to leave a poor review for an artist who’s contributions to hiphop are timeless. So after such a late start and a support act that sounded the same for all three of their tracks GZA finally put in an appearance. Energy was great initially however I couldn’t work out if GZA was smashed or unwell as his performance was substandard at best. There seems to of been more focus on hyping things up for the camera than for the audience. Stage goons bad vibes weren’t helping. I would of expected a more professional approach based on all the CREAM he’s skimmed. It is nice to say I’ve seen him I suppose but that performance is best forgotten.

Review of GZA (Wu Tang Clan)
The event was advertised as "GZA performing Liquid Swords in full", which should be enough to excite any hip hop fan. Alarm bells should have started ringing when he showed up at the venue 45 minutes after the advertised start time, so with his soundcheck the doors were about an hour and a quarter late opening. His support (Waterteam, a duo from Staten Island) weren't up to much, but when GZA came on stage I realised why - any part way competent support would have blown him off stage. He had no energy, made no effort to entertain and only seemed to say about every third word of his rhymes. I think he probably did do every song off the LP apart from "B.I.B.L.E", although as that was a Killah Priest song I wasn't too upset - MCs don't do other MC's verses, right? Well, that's what I thought, until he went on to do ODB's "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" and Inspectah Deck's verse from "Triumph". GZA has put some great stuff down on vinyl but on the basis of this show that's what he should stick to. It was a lazy half-a**ed performance, going through the motions and just about doing enough to stop the crowd demanding refunds. On the upside stylus is a great venue, sound and views are good and you can still see the stage while waiting for the bar. I'll be back there and I'll use Skiddle again, just not for a Wu-Tang show.
