Review of Smashcon & BWE Wrestling present: SMASHCON
I enjoyed the show - it was well put on, and for a first attempt the staff did really well. However, seeing that the organisers have chosen to go on Facebook and criticise any customers raising valid concerns, it doesn't really portray a professional image.

When my partner and I walked into the venue, it was smaller than we thought. Looking around, we could see some entertainment that we were interested in but overall, we thought that it was a bit confusing. We didn't know whether it was for wrestling fans or for sci-fi or for anime and gaming? The price for the e-ticket was around the same price as MCM London which we thought was a bit expensive for a first time con as well. The atmosphere, however, was good and some if the stars were nice. It was a good try at doing a convention but from what I've heard, it wasn't as organised in planning the event.

Enjoyable day out. Although for the price there wasn't a huge amount to look around at. Was expecting more stalls and props. Unless you were going for the wrestling I think it wasn't worth the entry fee which is unfortunate.

Tickets were overly expensive for the event which in itself was tiny.
The stars (except Hannah) looked like they'd rather be anywhere but at the event..... Unless you paid them.
The prices were overly expensive and the overall layout was messy and taken up in the majority by the wrestling ring.

Review of Smashcon & BWE Wrestling present: SMASHCON
Myself & my Son had a fantastic time at the Smash Con event. The staff were really friendly & helpful, Miltos & Norman were welcoming to fans & happy to pose for photographs & have a chat with you. The animals were just so fascinating & clearly well looked after, The wrestling just O.T.T. enough to make me laugh & keep me entertained. Miltos did a very interesting sword class and was happy to sign my Sons' sword even though we didn't pay for the class which was very kind of him.(we paid to watch). We both got to sit on the Iron Throne & found the price very reasonable. The stalls were interesting & it was great to have Star Wars characters mingling with us. Just to say really, no queues, staff helpful & guests lovely a win for me we had a wonderful day.

Yes it was over priced for a family ticket but my boys had a great time! Everyone in costume really made the effort to interact with the kids (unlike the actors who looked very unapproachable) & the wrestling was a lot more entertaining than I expected. However, in between the wrestling performances there was not a lot to keep the kids occupied for that length of time. Overall a great family day out but needs improvement.

Really enjoyed the day it took us about two hours to get round the place as we didn't stay for the wrestling but apart from that it was a good day i thought that the price for a family which cost us fifty pounds more or less we took around twenty pounds on the day and then the travel all in all it cost around one hundred pounds with getting photos took on the day for a couple of hours is a bit steep but lessons learned for future reference thank you.

Review of Smashcon & BWE Wrestling present: SMASHCON
As a non wrestling fan I didn't expect much from this event apart from the actors that were also listed to appear.
I've been to many cons and it's expected for actors to give talks in between photos and autos, unfortunately this didn't happen here so a brief chat at autos was all you could expect.
The wrestling had me a little worried at times when they came out of the ring from a health and safety point of view. How nobody in the audience, especially kids, weren't hurt I do not know. I actually moved after the 1st lot of wrestling to somewhere I believed to be safer but then half the action was missing because of camera operators stood at the side of the ring.
If you're a wrestling fan then I'd recommend you go. I personally won't be going again though due to my lack of interest in that and the admission cost seemed a bit extreme due to that.
