Review of Empire / Babygun / PYNRS / Disorient
The three acts on early were all good. The Headline act Empire is 5 16/17 year old lads. They blew me away...superb ! Mainly original music and if they can achieve this at such a young age God only knows what they will go on to achieve !!

Review of Carpe Noctum: Rhombus, Black Riders Cult, and Dhampyres
Ok, first the venue. There's bats in the belfry, the windows are jammed, toilets sometimes unhealthy, but the do give a damn. It's a student pub on the Otley run so downstairs is liable to be overrun by people of all genders dressed as Mario the Plumber, but nevertheless the staff work hard to keep things organised and friendly, and they've a fairly wide range of drinks at OK prices. Not as cheap as a Spoons, but still reasonable.
Now to the gig. All three bands were top notch, Dhampyres brought a metal edge to their Goth, Black Riders Cult clearly channeling the Eldritch one himself, and Rhombus are scene legends in their own right. As we've come to expect at a Library gig, superb sound for all three acts from an attentive and competent sound engineer.
Once the bands had finished the clubnight, now in its 24th year, took over, hitting the ground running with "Love Like Blood" and then ranging widely over the Goth genre.
Highly recommended, will definitely be back.
