Review of Santa & Mrs Claus Christmas Grotto
It was clear that little or no pre planning had taken place for this event. I had purchased an advance tick*t for an allotted timeslot so that we would not have to queue on that day. When I arrived there was a single queue with no provision for advance tick*t holders. The excuse given was that there was only one way in and out. After another customer had complained the girl in charge did try and make some provision for advance tick*t holders to move ahead in the queue but even then we were still left queuing for approx 45 minutes.
I would not describe the living room as cosy as it was cold and quite bare. The chat my son had with Mr and Mrs Santa was fine.
The questions in the 'please rate' section seem more appropriate for a musical event which make me think that not much thought or notice will be taken of this review. I have answered as best I can but if you want real feedback and to give the impression you really care, then I suggest you take the time to tailor the feedback form to the specific event.

Rubbish - the queue was a mile long and even though I had booked priority tickets with you it did us no good whatsoever! We were made to feel like we were trying to queue jump and kept separate so that we wouldn't upset everyone else. Got fed up of waiting so left!

A truly magical experience where Santa and Mrs Claus took the time to speak to each of my daughters and let them have a photo taken. Nothing was rushed and it was lovely to see my children's faces when they were told they were on the list for being good all year!

I will not take my children to this event ever again! After paying for a priority ticket, I was told to merge with the existing queue, had to queue for an hour, then the elf at the front door started talking to the people waiting behind us & didn't engage with my children. When we went inside, the room was lovely & cozy & Mrs Clause was really lovely with my children. Santa, however, barely said two words to them. Incredibly disappointed!

The surrounding Christmas fair and entertainment was fabulous. Santa's room was beautifully decorated and Mr and Mrs Santa were great. My five year old twins loved the experience, especially the elf greeter. My only criticism would be that the pre booking didn't work for the staff on site. There was no facility to queue separately and the staff were too embarrassed to allow prebooked customers to do anything other than join the queue. They sorted this 20mins after our prebooked time and we only joined the queue half way down so still had to queue for another 25minutes. Also the other people in the queue didn't like us 'pushing in'!! When we entered Santa's room, 45 mins after the prebooked time we would have been better just queueing from the start and would have seen Santa sooner. This needs much better planning if you are to offer prebooking again! It created an unnecessary bad atmosphere around parents in the queue. Thank goodness children are able to play in ignorance and after a round of Jingle bells the kids were happy enough.
