Review of Wishbone Ash with Steve Hill
Pleasantly surprised by Steve Hill. Before the gig I thought one guy wouldn't be all that interesting but I was totally wrong - hell of a noise for one person and a hell of a guitarist, Voodoo Chile was amazing. If you shut your eyes it sounded like a full band. Wishbone Ash were great value as always although have only seen Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash previously. Audience responded well to the band, especially the old classics and good to see some youngsters there. I've been going to the Railway for a number of years and glad it's reopened again. Testimony to the venue that Wishbone Ash were prepared to play in a pub (although a very good pub!) Only problem was the real ale kept running out as the night wore on but managed to find suitable alternatives!
Review of Wishbone Ash with Steve Hill
Brilliant gig. Both Steve Hill and Wishbone Ash played fantastic sets and the atmosphere was great. A small venue, but that made it an intimate gig. I'm off to see them again in Newmarket tonight.
