Review of Black Parade - 00\'s Emo Anthems & Chop Suey! Nu-Metal Anthems
There was supposed to be two rooms. One for heavy metal and an emo room. It didn't work having it all in one room.
Three heavy metal songs and then one emo banger, then back to heavy metal. We bailed after an hour. It was totally miss sold to us.

Review of Black Parade - 00\'s Emo Anthems & Chop Suey! Nu-Metal Anthems
First time at a proper Parish night out since they moved venue. Went with my Wife, a friend, and her boyfriend.
Had a good time chatting as we hadn't seen our friend in a long time either, and singing along to the majority of the songs which we knew the words to (downstairs for the Nu Metal Anthems). We went upstairs for a while, caught the Black Parade with everyone singing along and a bunch of other songs I did actually listen to a long time ago (but I'm far more of a Nu Metal fan).
The atmosphere was great, being amongst a whole bunch of metal fans for the first time in ages. Hearing everyone sing along to the Slipknot and System Of A Down songs was brilliant and my throat was a bit sore by the end of the night.
I was with three non-drinkers and there didn't seem to be any bottled non-alcoholic drinks so it was just fruit juice from a carton (or c**e) which was fine. My usual at the Parish has always been Gamma Ray but they were out, so I had a few different drinks: A Guinness, a High Wire, and a Strawberry Fruli. All drinks I like and prices aren't bad.
While I was at the bar for my third drink the burly guy next to me had ordered two Jagerbombs and passed me one asking me to down it with him. I had to refuse.. I wasn't there to get smashed but he laughed and passed it to the guy to his right. Even though I didn't take the drink it showed what a friendly bunch us metal heads are and everyone was having a good time :).
I'm definitely going to check out the gigs that are on in future at the new Parish venue and hope to be back soon.
