Review of Love 4 Music Festival
I atend festivals everywhere. ..but this is the only one where once entered you can't leave to go out to car or what ever. ..ridiculous. .if id known I wouldn't have turned up till late on...but now I know why people don't turn up till late...opened at 12.00...very few people. ..if you're going in future. .6.00 onwards. .

All the artists performances were great.
My partner went out leaving me inside the park to get something from the car at around 6.30pm and he was not allowed back in.
The security informed him they were not allowed to let anyone in after 7.00pm. This was in contradition to the website which said after 8pm.
Review of Love 4 Music Festival
far too expensive for the quality of acts, local people did not come because of the price so the venue was no where near full, at a lower price it could have been a packed out venue, Omar did not perform and Alexander O'Neil could hardly be understood, really disappointing. Carroll Thompson was the best act by far and loose ends sang over their records. Poor event not worth £50 per ticket

Review of Love 4 Music Festival
Unfortunately not a great experience for us, starting with security, no idea what was permitted, takes and throws away our cans of pop and a bottle of water which was clearly opened in front of the female security staff. She then allows others in, they say theirs are for staff. Reason for no cans they can be used as missiles, yet you are given cans at the bar, at extortionate price. Then clearly seen others entering with cans, total confusion between security and organisers.. The venue was poor looks as if the area had been prepared for a bank holiday fair ground.
Just so let down by the whole entry experienc left after 45 minuets; should have been maximum £10 entry fee, or even free I’ve attended far larger free events. Definitely not worth £45.

Review of Love 4 Music Festival
Loved the relaxed atmosphere and all of the performers. Unfortunately spoilt by performances being cut short and technical problems with sound. I think the acts and audience were short changed because of this. If you can sort those problems out I would definitely come to another event.

A few things need addressing more effort need to prepare venue grass was an issue. Disparity with what event was allowing into venue, I checked the list of items excluded from the event and brought nothing into event. When I got inside people had been able to bring in camping chairs large bottles of pop etc. Organisers need to be clear about this, I am not suggesting these item shouldn,t be allowed had I have realised camping chairs would be allowed in I would have done the same.

Review of Love 4 Music Festival
This special occasion has the potential to be a really fantastic event in the North of England and become a successful annual festival. I am an ardent listener to Mi-Soul Radio and that is where I heard about the festival. It was very apparent that the local population were unaware of this great event taking place in their backyard and the turnout was pretty poor. If the Manchester contingent had not been there (Mi- Soul Radio covers Manchester) it would been a disaster in terms of audience numbers for the performing artists. The two compares worked extremely hard throughout the day to keep everyone engaged but there were several delays in the change over of the artists and the DJ's were doing their best to fill the gaps.
The grounds were an ideal location and the layout of the facilities were excellent with the ablutions being clean, including well sited. The grass had been cut prior to the event but the cuttings remained in situ and this would have been a problem if it had rained. Fortunately the weather was absolutely fantastic and that was a bonus.
Sadly, one of my favourite artists (Alexander O'Neil) was cut short at the end of the evening as time was running out, that same thing happened to Aswad as everything was being condensed in order to achieve the stipulated end time. This was a real shame because these are treasured artists that I have grown up with over many years and they wont be around for ever!
In summary a lot of lessons were learnt and great credit must go to the organisers for putting on such an ambitious event with so many great stars. What I have stated pales into insignificance when you take into account the fantastic number of legends that appeared on stage.
Well done and I will be there next year.

Review of Love 4 Music Festival
Firstly, we weren't allowed into the venue for nearly an hour after the expected open doors time. There was an extremely limited food and drink stalls, there was also no other types of stalls. There was not a good handle on drugs as there was a lot of people openly smoking w**d and selling w**d. This made us very uncomfortable. The majority of the acts were very good and created a good atmosphere, however, there was a delay at the beginning which therefore pushed back all the other acts slots. This made the headliner, Alexander O'Neal not come on to the stage until gone 9pm, which was the event finish time. Alexander O'Neal also left the stage after three songs because his mic was not working. There was so much technical issues on the stage that you could no hear the songs for most of the acts because the backing noise was over powering it. Not the festival of Soul and Reggae we were expecting and we will not be returning.

Review of Love 4 Music Festival
There was a problem with the sound particularly with the last act Alexander O'neil. It ended very abruptly which was disappointing after a fantastic day.
The pre festival information was poor. I wasn't sure what I could bring into the venue.
I loved the festival.

Had a great day all the acts where brilliant, was a shame that some of the later bands had to cut their sets short due to time restrictions but these things happen, Carroll Thompson and Janet Kay stood out for me.
