Review of BRUNCH AND VIBES
Wouldn’t let anyone in until 4 as they were still setting up for an event that started at 3. “Bottomless” drinks lasted an hour which no one was informed of. Most people had to leave the venue to find food elsewhere as the food was not ready. We left at 8 (5hours after the proposed start time) and the food was still not ready. The bar staff were lovely. The price of £10 matches the experience as the tickets were cheap so couldn’t really expect much more.

The venue is awful for live music - there are steps up to the stage so people at the back are sloped down and have no chance of seeing.
The act were moved here last minute and were great but battled with poor lighting and mics that weren't working!

4 bar staff for that many people - joke
useless selection of drinks... couldn't even get a slice of lemon / lime in my gin and tonic
moving the gig to a club where the floor slopes downwards was an awful idea... everyone was squishing to the front to try to see and there was not enough space. will never buy from skiddle again.

All was good but the last minute change of venue was not.
I get it was due to demand which is fantastic for the group but, Shooshh is not a great venue for live music. You have the club seats that breakup the floor space allowing people to kneel/stand on, which creates sightline issues, then theres that giant pillar that blocks half the stage!
Queues for drinks at the start were a sham, poor choice of beers (given the great choice of independent beers in Brighton) and why would you stock glass bottles if you have to decant them which adds time to each service?!
Groups were amazing.

If the fir brigade turned up it would have been shut down! Ustars not open to anyone that wasnt the non existent VIPs. Aggressive bouncers and far to many eye. Got crushed against the stair barrier so left. I'm absolutely gutted. I've been lying forward to the gig from ages. Asked foe our money back from the bloke on the door who couldn't help (I really don't blame him btw!). What an absolute shambles. Met other atendees in a pub afterwards who also had a terrible time. One had to give his pin number to bar staff to buy a drink! Will never go back to the venue or attend a gig organised by the obvious chancer who "organised" the gig. Lucky there was no fatalities! I want my money back as didn't get to see one of my favourite bands and have come out with a bruised back!

The venue was very poor, it was so over crowded , it felt very unsafe- there was literally no space to move (we were at the back) and I have never felt so anxious in a gig before- we left after the third song. I will never go to a gig at this venue again.

This potentially awesome gig was moved at the last minute from Arch to Shoosh.
At Shoosh it was horrendously overcrowded.
The venue is not at all suited to live music.
Weirdly, the space slopes downwards away from the stage.
The sound halfway back is awful.
The lighting was terrible and obviously disappointed the band.
I would give a point for the door staff who were good, but it's an awful venue, and shame on the promoters for over-selling this gig.

Sound was patchy; good in places, absolutely awful in others. I’ve never been to the venue before, initial impression was good, although the bizarrely upward slanting standing area with irregular steps, should be an invitation to injury, however this was perhaps prevented because there were at least 100 too many people in this rammed into this relatively small venue. I honestly didn’t feel safe at times and as a result will NEVER be returning.

Club overcrowded, couldn't get anywhere near the front and from the back couldn't see the stage at all because of low ceiling, couldn't really hear a lot either.
30 min wait for drinks at the bar.

What a shame.
I love The Pharcyde but this gig was probably one of the worst I have ever been to.
The venue change sucked and was terribly overcrowded, the sound quality was also really poor.
The support act if you can even call it that was as shocking as the rest of it.
After this I will never attend another show 'Beat Down' put on, what a complete waste of money.

Review of The Pharcyde // Fatlip // Slimkid3 // Imani //
Firstly we queued at the wrong venue in the pouring rain(had no notification of change of venue). Then queued again for a long time. Once we got in it was way too cramped. Bad venue, no where to move, canât see anything, pilars and random sofas, little steps for people to trip up, canât hear anything. The bass was so loud we couldnât hear a word of the lyrics or anything they said on the mic. Poorly planned, probably the worst gig Iâve been to. Left early despite the pharcyde being one of my favourites. So so disappointed.

The gig was moved from The Arch to Shoosh but was ridiculously oversold. The place was rammed. 10 deep at the bar and no room to go anywhere outside that and views was obviously terrible. Microphones of MCs didn't work at all when the tune was bassy. About 15 mins into the gig the lights failed so no one could see the group for the majority of the show. The Pharcyde are brilliant but this venue was a real letdown. If everything worked and about half the number of people were there, it would have been great.
