Review of Funk The Format Festival 2016: Bank Holiday!
As we were unable to take in our own drinks and we were also not allowed to leave/return to the arena the delays in purchasing drinks due to the lack of bar staff let the event down. Not sure it would have worked without the sun, you were very lucky!

Review of Funk The Family Festival 2016
A half day of rain dampened the festival experience for me and my 1 year old. I did not feel that the venue was really set up to handle a rain delay as we experienced. Most of the people were crowded into the tented areas which did not have enough space to handle the crowd. However, once the sun came out and the rain departed it was great fun. The food trucks were good, the tents for toddlers was entertaining for them, Professor Elemental was great and I could hear the music stage from wherever I was in the festival. I would go back next year. I would just hope that they would prepare a bit more for rain.

What an amazing way to spend a Sunday. The music was just fantastic, topped off by the incredible Soul II Soul - cannot wait for next year already! Thanks to everyone involved in organising this event.

Absolutely fantastic afternoon. Great sound system wonderful chilled atmosphere. We were helped along the way with delish food and well priced drinks - though you could of done with another bar :-) To top it all the sun shine down on us as Norman and Jazzy did their thing. Bloody marvelous!

I attended the Event yesterday and I have to start with a positive Soul 2 Soul were def worth the wait, however as the event was titled 'Funk the Format' and myself being an avid soul & funk disciple, I was really disappointed that this wasn't really reflected in the other bands (except Nubian Twist) and even more so in the music played in-between the live bands- at one point the music was so awful I had to go to the far end of the park - (there was nothing funky about it!!!) so to me this really spoilt my experience. I hope you take this on board next year as I'd love to return, as the venue and surrounding stalls and ground entertainment was great.........................Id like to leave on a positive note, - I hope the event returns next year as it was a Sun blessed and chilled fun day and what a joy seeing so many trendy over 40's - Oh and the Salsa duo and the crowd participation was a joy to watch!
