Review of Brighton Beach

We had a terrible experience. It should have been cancelled, the weather was horrendous. We stuck it out for a couple of hours but like many people, we gave up not long into Carl Cox’s set.

The sound was awful, partly due to the high winds. All we could hear was some bass and pretty much nothing else. The bar was awful, a poor selection of overpriced drinks. £7 or more for a can of 4% fruity sugary syrup. We didn’t even bother trying to get any food since the weather was so bad there was no way we could eat there. And the toilets were also awful. You can’t leave and come back so once you’re in you’re stuck with the terrible options available.

Even if the weather had been better I think we still wouldn’t have had a good time.

Review of Brighton Beach

This was the worst event I’ve ever been to.
- Beer was £8 per pint. Small cans were £7.
- There was no wine or spirits on offer, except for low % sweet mixers in a can.
- Had to arrive before 6pm for an event due to finish at 10:30pm.
- Could not leave after arriving (no pass outs).
- Sound volume was not loud enough. Couldn’t hear the music over the crowd.
- Repeater speaker stack was broken.
- 40mph winds + rain, couldn’t be helped however event should have been cancelled rather than finishing 1 hour early.

I won’t be returning to an On The Beach event.

Best day festival ever! Just 2 negative points. The event would benefit from more speakers placed around the sides for better sound quality and more toilets please. I had to wait ages for the ladies loos.
