Review of Peaky Blinders Immersive Festival - Saturday

The two bands we saw were fantastic , great that most people dressed up and entered in to the spirit of the event , like most people have already said the que at the bar was horrendous didn't manage to see any magicians ? Not sure where they were . Got a ring Side view of boxing though
And had fun at the small fair also enjoyed delicious street food from dig etch dining club . All in all made the most of it and enjoyed event I think it was massivly oversubscribed though .

THANK YOU THANK YOU. My husband really enjoyed the day, I got the tickets as a birthday present as the event was 3 days after his birthday. He has followed Peaky Blinders from the start. He said to me afterwards that I couldn’t have got him a better present. If you have anymore events please contact me as he wants to go again. Thank you again.

The music wasn’t 1920’s was hard to dance 1920’s Charleston, Just new crap that didn’t make me feel I was in that era. The only thing that made it was people dressing up and the vote for women and the floozies, definitely a let down esp as I work in events and know you can make anyplace look like you want with a little bit of hard work. The boxing was good Ben Handlan was really good he’s a legend ‘he was the entertainment at my sister wedding’ before he hit the big time it’s nice to see him there and having fun ‘I like him’ the bingo was good as so was the escape artist/ magician and the sword swallower was good but there’s are people that made it better with out these it would have been 100% s**t instead of 50% s**t like it was. Just a shame for the price that’s all.

over the top prices on food and drinks, not very much peaky themed things, no time schedule for events that were happening, not enough staff behide the bar 40 minutes wait to get a drink that was outrageously over priced. It said there would be a Victorian fair ground , there was one Ferris wheel and that was it. Music wasn't 1920's themed music.
very disappointed.

Tickets were far too expensive for what was on offer - especially for children who were excluded from half the venue (our 8 year old cried his eyes out). The guests made the day but it is obvious that tickets were sold based on an idea which changed significantly from conception to delivery and you just hoped ticket buyers would accept what they got because of the novelty of the concept. Food vendors were really expensive, uninspiring and not at all reflective of the time (we left to eat at The Crown), the (singular!) fun fair ride was poor, the market traders looked miserable and disappointed with their lot and to have no agenda for people to plan their day was a huge error. It was the attendees that made the event (and the brass band who were excellent) This just could have been so much better. An overpriced vintage fair. Maybe worth a tenner. Better luck next time!

Not as described. Overcrowded. Massive queues for drinks (over an hour wait), no times of events happening, couldn’t get in to see stuff. Too many tickets sold, people waiting for others to leave to be able to get in, appalling toilets...total rip off! Had to leave to go out and get drinks, or would have dehydrated.

an organiser cashing in on peaky blinders fans ... after a high number of complaints ... wow surprisingly the company have ceased trading.... therefore run for the hills avoiding any comeback & hiding away so not give refunds under trades description acts etc

Terrible value for money. Set up only for the organisers to make money. It took 1 hour 20 mins to get out first drink.

The best thing was the crowds that made the effort to dress up and meeting them in pubs outside of the venue. What a waste of money. Has lots of potential but needs to be re-evaluated for it to be a success.

Basically...did not get what was advertised and what we paid for. Venue changed last minute. Poor facilities. Told we would not be admitted unless we were dressed in the style of that time which we did and then found other dressed in modern clothing. We had paid full price of 32.50 pounds and then found the tickets had been reduced to 22.50.

We expected authentic food of the era as was advertised, only to find kebabs, fish and chips, burgers, pies and waffles on sale.

We made the best of a bad job but it was very disappointing.

the venue was too small, no clear fire exits overcrowded, if a gire or emergency had occured alot of people would have been seriously injured or even worse dead. not everyone was dressed up, couldnt get to the bar queues too long, couldnt use toilets only a few toilets available which a queues where ridiculous for. over priced alcohol £9 for a small c**ktail ehich i wiated an hour and a half for. food was over priced and rubbish which i also had to wait over an hour for. wasn't aloud in to see the boxing as the security guard said it was full inside. missed all the events going on as cpuldnt get in. court yard was too small, could not even move. 1 fair ride even though the brochure said there would be a fair ground. people where getting in for free even though i paid £33. had to leave early as no where to sit could not use toilets coukd not get a drink. music was not peaky blinders era i really wish i had not attended. black country museum was alot better and cheaper so disappointed with this event waste of time, the fuel travelling over 200 miles to come to this even and the hotel room for 2 nights

An horrendous day, so many complaints about this event from others.

Hour long ques for the bar
many drinks ran out by 4pm (6 hours before close)
security and staff very rude
no checks on arrival and security were letting their friends in
1 fairground ride
no shoe shine, history talks,
music was hip hop and grunge
food was very expensive and not of the victorian era

Not entirely sure what we paid for.
Bar queues that took 45 minutes to get though, drinks overpriced and then they ran out of a lot of alcohol by 7pm
Queued to get in and out of rooms.
Toilets were disgusting.
Far too overcrowded, couldn’t even stand still without being pushed past.
The “amusements” consisted of one single ferris wheel
Food was good, but nothing different from digbeth dining club where you only pay £1 to get in rather than £29!

An absolutely amazing evening. I loved the venue: the decor was incredible and it truly felt like we'd stepped back in time and were really in the show. The DJ was incredible - a fantastic mix of 1920s with a modern day spin. The Garrison was one of my favourite areas; I really loved the boxing match and the whole feel of the place.

In order to improve next time, there needs to be more bars. We queued for 40 minutes to get drinks when we first arrived which was a bit of a disappointing start after coming in feeling so excited. It was a shame that so many drinks had ran out by the time we got to the bar and the prices were really expensive. It would have been nice to have seen more fair ground rides (rather than just the big wheel).

Other than that, it was an absolutely fantastic night and I can't wait to come back again!
