The Erdington Village Fete Will Be The Biggest and Best One Yet.

On Saturday July 11th Erdington High Street will be transformed with live music and family entertainment, a funfair, street entertainers and a community market as the annual Erdington Village Fete returns for a third year.
The High Street will be closed to traffic to create a real Carnival atmosphere, and Town Centre Business Improvement District Manager Terry Guest told us that this year’s event will be the best yet.

“The Village Fete is growing every year and is a real community event offering something for everyone. We have a fantastic live stage with a great variety of music with Ska from The Heels, Pop, Rock and Reggae from singer Billy Mac Bhangra dancers Haripa, RnB and Soul from Call Me Unique and Soulmania and some sophisticated 40s style with a modern twist from girl group The Glamophones. DJs from Switch 107.5 will be playing all you favourite tunes and we are really ready to get the party rocking.”

He continued: “We have a bigger market this year, with street food, art, flower, sweet and cake stalls you’re sure to find a bargain. We also have a great turn out from local charities and voluntary organisations with staff on hand to help you get involved in community projects. “

“The village fete is intended to highlight the amazing range of shops in Erdington, and the work of the Business Improvement District (BID) and local community to help create a thriving, clean and safe place to visit.

It’s always hot and sunny in July so the Village Fete will be a marvellous event that the whole family can enjoy.”
