Zoo Project Festival

It may be September, but that doesn't mean you should be packing away those wellies just yet. Summer has one more trick up its sleeve for all you beat freaks who really like to let your mane down: Zoo Project Festival.

Zoo Project has been a staple of Ibiza's summer clubbing season for years, with its all day, all night raves earning it the reputation as the place to spend your days partying on the Spanish isle.

Basking in the glow of their success, the organisers have decided to transport the animal vibe to the UK, with 2012 seeing the launch of the first Zoo Project Festival.

Set in the grounds of an active wild safari park, festival-goers will be treated to over 50 DJs bringing you the most underground electronic sounds, courtesy of 10 stage hosts, including DJ Mag, Cocoon and Secret Sundaze.

Acts include Julio Bashmore, Eats Everything, Sasha and Pearson Sound; team these names with a 600-acre wild animal park, which holds Siberian and Indian tigers, Barbary lions and the largest breeding herd of Black Rhinos outside Africa, and you have the ingredients of a truly wild weekend.

Artists that have been involved in its natural Ibiza habitat have nothing but praise for Zoo Project:

Federico Grazzini:

“Playing at the Zoo Project is always kind of magical to me. Over the years I have seen the party grow, and I feel I am an integral part of the project. I’m really proud to have a leading role in this first edition of the Zoo Project Festival and can't wait to be on stage!”

Lee Pennington:

“I am really thankful to be playing at such an illustrious event with many recognised artists that are currently contributing to the underground house and techno music scene. Only the Zoo Project would be quirky enough to pull off a rave in a safari park in the UK. It’s simply genius and oozing with class.”
