Yay, we're two! Well Skiddle is actually a lot older than that but the Weekends Matter podcast has now clocked up two years of fortnightly doses of the best in clubland. We've had a wide range of DJs of all musical persuasions commanding the guest mix slot, with eclectic brilliance from Greg Wilson and Norman Jay, stadium crushing electro from Steve Aoki and The Japanese Popstars, house from Yousef and Groove Armada all the way up to trance from Paul Oakenfold and the most recent incumbent, Sander Van Doorn.

Each one has been helmed by Funkademia's David Dunne, his dulcet tones describing our carefully handpicked clubbing selections for you. And now we've approached our 52nd episode, 24 months of tireless work bringing you the best options for your essential weekend activity. Aren't we nice?

This episode features a mix from one of the Icons of dance music as we know it, legendary DJ Dave Seaman (play it above). He made compilation history this year when he became the first DJ to ever fund a mix compilation via crowd sourcing, and has also seen a fresh approach to cutting edge house and techno emphasised by his brand new record label Selador, which you can read all about his here.
