One of the original pioneers of the free download scene is to offer fans another freebie next week - a gig.

Fans of the epic songs of The Crimea will be able to see the Camden band play for free at an in-store at Sister Ray Records, Berwick Street, London on Monday (June 30th).

A total of 50 lucky fans will be able to see the gig, with tickets being hidden in seven inch singles of new release The 48a Waiting Steps on sale from the shop on the day.

The Crimea - one of the late John Peel's favourite bands - are also planning to tour the UK throughout early July to coincide with the release of the single.

Gigs in Manchester - at The Deaf Institute - Glasgow and another London appearance, this time at Bush Hall in Shepherd's Bush, are all planned in the next couple of weeks.
