Bitch’s monthly tour de forces through house and electro have been a staple part of Manchester’s clubbing terrain for nearly seven years, always delivering the best in up-front no-nonsense dance music. If you like your grooves hedonistic and hooky then it doesn’t get much better than this crew, and with a roll call of past guests that includes Danny Howard, Nicky Romero, Michael Woods, Norman Doray and more, you know the talent is top notch.

That quality spreads to their residents, which is why they’re showcasing them all with a residents party next month. We wanted to give you all a glimpse into the sound of Bitch, so what better way than one of those feted regulars giving us a mix? You can check out Reworked Robot’s sound of Bitch mix above as a taster of what to expect at the event. We also thought we’d get the goss from the man himself too…

Hi Reworked Robot, thanks for speaking to us. For our readers who may not be aware who you are, introduce yourself.

I'm Reworked Robot (aka Adrian Jones), a Brighton based DJ/ Producer and Jäger enthusiast. I’ve been DJing for over 10 years and more recently started writing my own tracks. My productions have been signed to labels including Zulu Records, Whore House and Applique Music.

You've done us a mix, thanks! Can you tell us a little about it?

Whenever I put a mix together, I always try to focus on the music I love and tracks that are working well for me at the moment - generally that's a nice techy vocal, beats, bass and bongos! I think it's important to have a style and do your own thing.

How exactly did your residency at Bitch come about?

I entered the Bitch DJ competition in 2011 and made it through to the live rounds at Venus in Manchester. I know a lot of DJ's aspire to be part of the Bitch brand so it was really tough competition on the night! I just missed out on the top spot to Martyn Russo but Bitch HQ seemed impressed and invited me back as a resident, so it worked out really well for me.

Where else can we catch you playing in the UK?

I have several big gigs with Bitch before the end of the year, as well as some dates in Brighton which will be published on my Facebook page very soon! I’ve already been booked to play a big UK festival in 2014 too, which is really exciting!

And what else lies in the future for you?

In addition to my solo projects, I’m really lucky to be working on productions with some amazing artists over the next few months. I’m still promoting my recent collaboration with Hoxton Whores and Will Gold but I have a big tech-house remix due out on Applique Music in the next few weeks and I’ll be hitting the studio with Will Gold again very soon for a follow up to our remake of the 90’s classic ‘Sweet Harmony’.
